Rubbish. Tesla will crush these guys. Got a BMW 335d msport which is amazing engine. The tech including this app is rubbish though. Confusing to set up. No Spotify despite it saying there is in app. Car says app not compatible and needs updating- no update available. Embarrassing.
Unlike a lot of the recent reviews, I did manage to get this working in my car using a Samsung S6. I also have an iPhone (5s) which I've connected up too. I'm somewhat disappointed in the Android version! It's no where near as use friendly and offers a small percentage of the features the iPhone app does. The bmw manual (after I've paid a fortune for the car) states so many of these apps will work (Facebook and what not) but they just aren't compatible. Even if this simply retained the same functionality as the iPhone app, a lot of people will be happy, but it just doesn't. No ability to download other apps such as Deezer either. I'm having to use my limited bandwidth on the iPhone instead of the unlimited data on the Samsung. If we have somewhere to log bugs or enhancements which were acted upon that would be a start.
Unreliable. One minute all working, listening to music but then no sound but still playing. Can see track etc with time ticking on but no sound. Select radio, sound fine, back to connected audio and track shows as playing but no sound. Ahhhh. And as for Eco Analyser its meant to work for all but 'all BMW M & BMW i models' with ECO Mode, I have the X4 M Sport and it doesn't even show up as an available app in the car, its on the phone and enabled to record data but nothing on the car, neither is last mile. Come on BMW we don't all have iphones !!!!!!!!
I payed for the connected services option but the app doesn't seem to work anymore. When confronting my dealer, he mentioned that BMW is writing a new app (for iOS first) and that in the mean time, the Connected app will stay broken. He heard the problem from multiple customers. If this is true, then this is really no correct service for any brand, let alone a premium brand.
Whst a massiva letdown Being in the app-business myself I know what a chore it is to support many Android versions on multiple telephone platforms. But the support width of BMW for their Connected app must surely be an absolute industry low-point. Shame! Update:now have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S7. No BMW support for this either. One wonders what dolts BMW have employed for Android development. Guys. It's not that difficult. Make an effort! Fix this!
Absolute rubbish, if this was a car it would be a MOT failure with flat tyres and a engine that was billowing out smoke! Come on BMW, Android users are human as well! Get your act together as there are other car makers who are doing so much better than you! Oh and the odd answer to all the negative comments would go a long way to showing you actually care!
