Very slow and no sensible data refresh The most logical thing you expect from such a App is to show you recent status of your car, but it falls to do so almost all the time. It will show you old days and only after App restart eventually refresh :( sending commands to the car takes ridiculous long. When registering your App, you automatically removed previous users without knowing it, so my wife could not continue using the app after I have registered. It is disappointing how such a trivial app turn out so badly.
Waiting for connection to gear app On S7 edge I get force close about 10 times a day. Also a notification about galaxy gear shows up trying to connect. However I don't have a Samsung watch or other smart watch. Also sometimes the car status doesn't update when I open the app, maybe server problem?
Mostly doesn't work The only thing the app currently knows about my i3 is the set departure time. I can also precondition the car remotely, although the command takes ages to reach the car, and sometimes fails to get there. Battery charge doesn't show and the app incorrectly shows my doors unlocked no matter what the real case is. Web interface shows correct info, so the car does send the data, it's the app that's faulty. If BMW doesn't take the remote app seriously, probably not much hope for software updates on the car...
Good but now has a bug Been using it since Jan 15 and most of the time it works. Had a few issues refreshing sometimes. Problem now is I just bought a Samsung Gear 360 camera & downloaded the camera control software to S7. Now the i3 app keeps trying to connect to the Samsung Gear app... and fails. Presumably it saw a package name that makes it think I've got the Gear smart watch. Tried uninstalling cam app. Still same problem. Android now telliing me i3 app using a lot of battery and to shut it down:(
Link with Gear S watch poor! General app good though I have the Samsung Gear S and associated Gear BMW I REMOTE app but they don't seem to talk to each other. Please fix BMW!
No updates in almost a year. Added to the increasing list of reasons I'm buying a Tesla Model X next time round instead of a BMW i.
