There's an intro video for every day of this program that is motivation enough for me. Granted, though, his videos on some days display exercises the daily exercise program does not include. The daily reminders and finish button at the bottom of the workout of the day screen helps keep me on track. The fitness program is definitely good for beginners. The diet plan, however, I don't follow since I am trying the keto diet for faster fat loss.
Great workout, smooth app but limited functionality. Reminders are helpful. A meal tracker would be very useful, or at least have the app integrate with other sites/apps like MFP for that. A workout tracker would also help a lot - for example, having the ability to track weight used and number of reps for each exercise, then have the numbers pop up the next time the same exercise appears. I know it's not that hard, but it could be used as a motivational tool to try to push yourself to do a little more on subsequent workouts. I do like that there is some variety of exercises when hitting the same body parts. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.
I would have given 5 stars but the videos lack details. Is the fatigue set supposed to be with increase, decrease, or same weight as prior set? Routines are nice and short but get the job done; great for someone on the go like myself. I like how it switches up exercises here and there throughout the program.
Solid workout, the app makes it easy to follow, and encourages heavy lifting given the short sets. The emphasis on nutrition that it makes is excellent as well. The only thing that would make this better is a meal tracker within the app. For now I just supplement it with MyPlate. A place for weight logs would be nice as well instead of carrying a notebook to the gym every day.
Seriously this workout is amazing. Lee labrada is a legend and that should be enough to follow this workout. But it's so beautifully balanced that I can feel changes in my body already. The exercises change each week to keep you interested and to prevent your muscles from falling into a routine. Diet nutrition everything is here. Just dedicate yourself and don't hold back.
It's basically a mobile version of the webpage. No tools or trackers available beyond "workout completed". A little effort would have gone a long way on this one. The actual work out program is great, but the app is average at best
