Seats are a more comfortable with a bit more leg room for taller riders. The general seating is not ideal. Preferred seating options would earn my premium payment, similar to seat options available with other carriers. Only consolation is priority boarding with the free rewards program. The app showed the WRONG departure time. The bus left 3 hours earlier compare to what the app showed. I had an hour phone talk with the company. BoltBus is good at blaming the customer and not offering any solution. Even though I had the newest version of the app, at the customer service I was told I am using an old version and it's my fault that I missed the bus. Highly unprofessional service.
Bolt bus is typically good service, but the app is a pain. If constantly kids you out with invalid session errors (after attempt to check out). Sometimes it buys the ticket, sometimes not, so I always check. On the few occasions there was a double purchase, an email to their support and the duplicate ticket was refunded in 15 minutes. I recommend bolt bus, but this app leaves a lot to be desired.
Bus tracker unreliable: wrong bus number afixed to wrong route. Results in people waiting for a bus get wrong information. Call 1877 number is no help. Because the call Centre advises customers from data off the same incorrect bus tracking information. For a logistics transportation company, where arrival departure location position and ETA are your "bread and butter": this is a FAIL.
App is broken. Have been double charged multiple times or haven't gotten credit towards free ride. Easier to use mobile site, or better yet just use Megabus. Their app actually works correctly
Literally the only reason I would use the app is to see if my bus is on time. So I appreciate that they've added that feature. However, I do not appreciate that the bus arrival times are frequently incorrect by at least an hour. It would be great if this could be fixed.
