You get a lot for free. This app does need to consider G7 ballistic coefficients. G1 models are derived from spherical objects in ballistic motion. Modern bullets, especially VLDs require a more relevant model. Using G1 models on new bullets will have poorer results at extreme ranges.
Great app! Love all the reticle choices! This is one handy app. I would only change one thing. (Canadian) Instead of the choice to change everything over to metric I would rather pick and choose what l want in metric or standard. Example: I want fps not mps, but want wind in kph not mph, Celsius not Fahrenheit, and yards not meter's.
Looks good so far i have been comparing table data from the app against sierra bullet infinity software on a pc, and for .308win smk175hpbt bullet velocities are within 10-15fps out to 400 yards. after that they start to drastically drift apart. the sierra app has a setting for humidity that may be the possible cause or the strelok app may need calibration for the hollow point boat tail round. also the sierra infinity app has no way to input temp sensitivity factor. will continue to play with settings and see if i am able to dial them in.
One important let down Edit: Earlier I posted that I wish I could see the drop in Mil's instead of MOA/Inches/MRAD. Turns out, I'm stupid. MRAD is milliradian... I do wish it had the ability to put in the G7 profile.
Great app This is a great ballistics app for free very simple to use and works as long as you enter the correct info
What an asset!!! Whether using it for fun, competition, or more serious endeavors this thing is as good as the dope you enter. Chronograph your loads, measure your wind, and know your elevation, incline/decline... there is no easy road to long range precision but this saves a lot of time pushing calculator buttons. That being said, print out the charts, laminate them and keep them with your data book and accessories... two is one and one is none
