Like @Jordan Bowers I think that it is rubbish that a pure play Android phone (Google Pixel / Pixel 2) does not work with In Control. Not everyone who buys a Land Rover uses Apple - wake up JLR!
Bought a RR Velar and Spotify Premium doesn't work at all. spent over 100k Euro. Shame on Land Rover. No competent comment or answer from RR. I sure this is my last RR. Tried it with serveral mobiles (Pixel, Samsung S8, Samsung A5) and different Firmwares. Nothing worked. Absolutely sad.
Spotify does not work and crashes InControl. There really aren't any other useful apps. Would love Pandora or Google Maps, but nope. Give us Android Auto.
After trying to work with Land Rover to resolve the myriad app issues, I was told Google Pixels are not supported and there's no solution in sight and there's nothing they can do. This is horrid customer service and lazy app engineering. Land Rover should be embarrassed, but they have my money, so I guess I should be.
Some basic things like being able to see your texts or emails incoming would be absolutely astounding on my RRS 2017 TD6 HSE, since you know vehicles like my 2016 and 2013 Tacoma have these options. The app still needs some work for sure to be able to be realistic and modern whereas right now it still seems like a shell of what it can be.
Total RUBBISH, had a factory recall to update the control (central panel) and Driver display unit, adjust and update software for suspension management. After 2 weeks, Land Rover instructed to reset to original settings! Range Rover Sport 5.5l Autobiography full specs and £98K
