The headphones are great and the noise cancelling is amazing. But this software is a piece of junk, there is no use of this app other than showing battery percentage. As others suggested, EQ would a good inclusion to start off, after that Bose can put their quote "better sound through research" into use and put some real useful features into the app.
Bose this app is trash. U know it, I know it, even short bus riders cop to it. Its an app that basically does one thing. Allows you connect your buds by a simple swipe. Why tho? After its initial pairing its good. Because the buds remember. In retrospect I wish i had two more hands, because this app deserves four thumbs down.
I owned the QT35 headphones before the App and never had a issue with the headphones dropping the audio from my phone. Since the App, and ever after unistalling, my headphones will stop playing audio after a few minutes. Only way to get it going again is the press and hold the middle but... which on my phone takes me to the Google assistant and exits what ever I am doing on the phone. You can imagine the frustration
Bose needs to step up their game with the software. If this app is used to change settings and update firmware, I don't need a full screen view of what's playing.. especially if I don't have a full fledged playlist I can choose from. The media player view is useless. Give setting options, maybe a small current playing media info, and that's it.... I will not use the media control options to select play/pause. I will use the software that is used to play the song to do that... Keep it simple and functional.
After buying all 6 of the top head phones. Yours are the best sounding and have the best mic for calls but sadly your apps lack of features and even an EQ are a serious slap in the face. I don't expect more from BOSE I demand it. And the fact that you don't demand it for yourselves is shameful. Step up your game BOSE. 20 years of using your product and gloating and now my head is in the sand. I'm almost so disappointed I'm considering going back to the LG ones. Just as good sound but crappies on the mic but what an app.
I was unimpressed to find out about the data collection BUT unlike Google, Faceidiot and the others, Bose has at least listened to their customers and acted. -10 for being sneaky in the first place, +10 for listening, your back at 0 for me, now keep going with positive changes and you'll regain my respect that I once had for you Bose
This release includes a data collection opt-out. If selected, Bose will not receive usage information from the App.
