Bose Soundtouch is fantastic! Well worth the money buying the higher end Bose soundbar even if just for this feature. Soundtouch allows you to log into your favorite music services and let's you play from them on your Bose device even without having the app open. 5 out of 5 without a doubt. Have had my Bose SoundTouch 120 soundbar and receiver for over 2 years now and still loving it!
It works well. I mostly use Spotify and iHeartRadio with it. I wish there was more integration with Spotify. I'd like to be able to invoke playlist radio with a preset. I'd also like to have quicker response on my 6 soundtouch speakers. It takes a while to come alive and recognize all of them. Those are my criticisms. It's so great to have synchronized sound throughout the house. It works very well. I also rebroadcast with Bluetooth connections from various devices. Awesome!
Good app with a few flaws. There is a pretty decent lag when streaming with Bluetooth from my phone Samsung G S7 edge. Great spotify integration. I have an average size home, not new, so it's not very open concept. Therefore I need two routers to reach both ends of the house. Even though both routers are exactly the same, same name, address, make, model, I still have to have all speakers connected to the same router to play them all. Would be nice to be able to play all speakers at once while connected to the same internet, but different routers. Not sure if it's even possible though
I like and enjoy using this app. It does what its designed to do. Enhancements would be nice but I am reviewing the features provided. Installed on my desktops, iPads, iPhone, Kindle and Android devices without issue from Bose app. I encountered an issue when installing on my desktop and determined it was an issue with my desktop, not the Bose app. Once I fixed the driver issue, app worked. Solid, consistent connections, music plays in sync on multiple devices, controls music on individual devices, app in sync on all my devices. No disconnects, no issues at all. WiFi and connection devices must be updated and well maintained. My friend has sonos, too many connectivity issue for me. I CHOSE BOSE! I am happy with my decision.
Some issues setting up initially, but once done its smooth. Now i have it installed on atleast 5 devices and i can use from any one of them. But i couldn't get it to work with MS media player library, so i have to use itunes for playing the music from my computer library which is ok atleast it works.
Excellent app, seems to seamlessly sync with my Bose cinemate 520, only problem: the app itself seems to "lose Wi-Fi connection" but it actually doesn't, but this means you have to wait to reload everything again, especially annoying if you were searching for a good internet radio station and listened to it for just a little too long. Once the screen of your phone goes black, this fault happens everytime. I feel this wasn't the case before the last update, but I could be wrong as I don't use this app very often.
