THE only good rsync for Android You would think, since Android is based on Linux, that the core of common Linux tools would be natively available. This app gives you handy, secure, easy access to your files while on the road. Many thanks for a great app!
Works great! I have a home server running Linux on it. I was looking for a way to sync my pictures from my Android phone to my file server without having to do any cloud sync with something like Dropbox. This works great to upload my pictures. I did not want it to move the pictures, I simply wanted to sync them so they existed on my phone still (I'll manage those manually if I want to delete) while mirroring them on my server as well. Speeds were also pretty decent. I was getting about 700 KB/s, which I find fantastic compared to another app I recently tried, which did 40 KB/s on a good day. It's a simple no-frills app that does exactly what I need it to. My search is over, finally.
Good app, lack some features I'm using for a day. It works well on SFTP sync. I moved to this app after the FolderSync app stopped syncing over SFTP. Although the most missing thing for me is the schedule and the filter options. Maybe making it a Tasker plugin can add the schedule feature at least. Thanks for the great effort! I'll keep using it over the FolderSync.
Better to support multiple profiles It kept re-uploading backuped files, saying "local file is newer" which is not true. Otherwise it's a good app, but if you want to backup more than one folders in you phone you have to re-configure the app which is not very convenient
It doesn't work on Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0.4 The application is simple, reliable and fast. It worked fine in my Nexus S running Android 4.0.1. However, it now longer works after I moved to Galaxy Nexus. There's something different on this phone that breaks both rsync and this application. On the other hand, ConnectBot connects fine to my server.
Nice simple sync As mentioned by someone else it would be nice to use ssh keys instead of a password. Have also changed my mind, and I'd prefer something where I can ask my tablet to either push or pull and not be setup to run constantly. Otherwise this is working great over sftp.
Increased key exchange timeout. Re-enabled symlink support, including symlinks-to-directories (experimental).
ConnectBot is a powerful open-source Secure Shell (SSH) client.
