Very, very good Very simple. Simple as in "straightforward," not as in "author is too lazy to add features." Supports text encoding. Good looking, clean screen, no annoying bars taking up screen space. Just a document title, but it's thin. I wish there was full screen mode, though. The document title is useless anyway. Also, when opening many files in any given directory, the file browser never remembers the previously visited directory, so I have to browse and find and select that directory over and over and over... I am discounting one star because of that.
A master class in app design. I needed a competent but not overwhelming text editor for end users of varying experience. Googled around quite a bit -- this is head and shoulders above the crowd.
WTF? Can't save files to SD card. Even worse, saved files get lost by the app and can't be found. This combined with Box is a disaster. Really great idea for saving simple text files. Box should find a dev competent enough to make it work.
Get most basic thing wrong When re-entering the app, it displays the most recent file. Fine. But it doesn't remember the file name or path. Is that so very difficult? Uninstall.
WYSIWYG Thank you. All the other solutions add markup or require online. Box editor opened up some collossal file, and was able to save it WITH NO MARKUP. The line numbering feature is great.
One cloud text editor 4-9-13 Update: Great little editor!! Very simple once you understand how it works. Love that there is no bars or buttons in the reading area that blocks view or in the way!
