For some of us, spending hours on top of hours at a Desk is an absolute necessity. This necessity can (and often does) cause postural muscles to become imbalanced, which can lead to anything from acute pain to long-term deleterious effects on our health. Fortunately, there are a few simple steps we can take to counteract and even reverse the daily toll that being shackled to a desk can take. Performing a few stretches/exercises each day and simply remembering to sit up straight when we begin to slouch, can make all the difference.
PosTrainer is designed to train you to sit up straight at regular intervals, and coach you in a few basic stretches and exercises which target common problems for those who spend most of their time sitting. Currently, it features: -Customizable alarms which remind you to set aside specific times of day to perform stretches and exercises, or even just to remind you to sit up straight! -Step by step exercises and stretches, with pictures for reference -A simple and intuitive design, up to date with current Material Design standards -Information on various Postural issues such as Forward Head Posture, Rounded Shoulders (Kyphosis), and titled pelvis (lordosis); to name a few.
