Learning platform for training and further education to become an emergency paramedic in Brandenburg.
(based on the "standard operating procedures and treatment paths in
Rescue Service 2023" of the state associations of medical management emergency services Baden-Württemberg, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt from July 2023, as well as the action algorithms for the emergency paramedic in the state of Brandenburg in version 1.5 from March 1st .2022)
This small app provides an overview of all medications approved in accordance with the SOPs and SAA in the state of Brandenburg that can be used by an emergency paramedic in the state of Brandenburg.
All medications are presented with dosage, contraindications, side effects and mechanisms of action, according to the content of the current SOP.
In the "Scoring" section there is an overview of common scoring systems, such as the Glasgow Coma Scale, the SAMPLER or APGAR scheme, or the stages of hypothermia.
There is also a brief overview of the ECG, as well as some pathological ECG forms.
The area of “emergency medical techniques” includes, among other things, electrotherapy, chest relief, NIV CPAP ventilation or alternative access techniques.
The “Info” topic complex provides an overview of age-adapted children’s values. Also an overview of legal principles. The axes of the human body are also named and there is a glossary with the most important terms.
An overview of infectious diseases, including the corresponding protective and disinfection measures, can also be found there.
In order to continue to make the app interesting and helpful, we would be happy to receive suggestions for future content.

Technical:
The app works as an offline app and can therefore also be used without an existing internet connection. Only the medication leaflets or specially marked information that are also stored as links require an internet connection.
The app's file size is currently less than 60 MB. It is possible to move the app to an existing memory card within the device.
Regular updates will keep the app up to date.
If the app does not work as intended after an update, select the app under "Settings" -> "App" or "Storage" in your cell phone and delete the app's cache. Incorrect cache data can cause the app to malfunction.
We would be very happy to receive ideas and suggestions regarding the content of the app.
