Description

It can be expensive to do science experiments. Physics Gizmo allows you to collect science data at school, home, or even in space using only your Android phone.

1) Turn on Bluetooth to enable all sensors

2) Select your sensor

3) Give your data a name or leave it with the time and date.

4) Set the timer.

5) Click start to collect data.

5) Upload your data to analyze later.

More details can be found at http://www.brokenairplane.com/2011/10/android-education-science-physicsgizmo.html

My goal is for this app to enable more students around the world to do science!

A Google User

One great educational software Very cool I can't wait to use this in some lessons next school year.

Frida Gess

Brilliant! Now, let's try putting the phone on a roller coaster, then putting the accelerometer data into a 3-D model...

A Google User

Fun app, tons of possibilities Being able to record accelerometer data is just the start. This app has lots of possibilities for a science educator.

A Google User

Doesn't work The accelerometer shows data, but it doesn't make sense. None of the other modes show anything. So unless I'm missing something important, it doesn't work - at least on the Incredible.

A Google User

Just to have. One day I will be somewhere where strapping my phone to something and collecting data would be handy. This app is for that day. Works well.

What's New

Version 2.2

Visual update for phones running ICS (Android 4.0)

App no longer closes if you choose not to turn on Bluetooth (sorry if it was frustrating or confusing).

Version 2.0

3 new Photogate sensors:

-Photogate pulse

-Photogate pulse with 2 phones (Requires Bluetooth/Android 2.0+)

-Pendulum

Accelerometer continues to sense while phone is off (works on most phones).

Mathematics is a powerful calculation software for your android smartphone.

FEATURES

Calculate any formula you want and show them in a 2d or 3d plot. The natural display shows fractions, roots and exponents as you would expect it from mathematics.

In a few seconds you derivate or integrate your desired function, calculate the zero points of your function und show them in the function plot. See all maxima, minima or inflection points in one view.

The easy way of use allows you to solve linear equations in just a moment. Or transform your mathematical, physical or chemical equation to any unknown variable.

You often needs to calculate with binary, octal or hexadecimal number systems? No problem! You can mix them together in one calculation even by using decimal digits. But that's not enough! You can also calculate with any other number system with base 2 to 18.

From time to time you may need to convert units to another one, like Celsius to Fahrenheit, miles to kilometre, inches to foot and so on.

You will also be able to calculate with vectors, matrices and determinants.

All this features are combined in this app and will make your mathematical life a lot easier.
