There is a possible delay when launching the app for the first time. This is a known bug, and should not occur on subsequent launches. If after about a minute the timer dialog doesn't appear, simply launch the app again.
**ADDITIONALLY, If you are having problems with the app, please contact me! One of the most common issues with development (especially on Google Play) is that customers uninstall apps when there's an issue with the app, rather then telling the developer. Please tell me if you're having problems! My email is at the bottom of the page, just click "Email Developer". Thanks, -Jake
Airplane Mode Timer: An app that allows time-based configuration of Airplane Mode on your phone. Airplane mode can be activated for a specified time, then automatically turn off.
—This app turns on Airplane Mode on your device, then turns it off after a specified time
—Optional delay (so you can fall asleep on the train and not worry about remembering to turn Airplane Mode off)
—After the timer counts down, the app will automatically turn Airplane Mode off, allowing you to once again receive calls and data.
—Pebble Notifications (Coming in next release!)
TIMELINE OF EVENTS:
(Optional delay of 'x' minutes) —> Airplane mode ON (data/calls off) —> Wait ' x minutes —> Airplane mode OFF (data/calls on) —> END
Usage is incredibly simple.
1) Upon launch, you are presented with a dialog.
2) Enter how many minutes you want to keep your wireless signals off.
2a) Optional: Enter a number of minutes to delay Airplane Mode from activating (so you can fall asleep on the train and not worry about activating it when you hit the tunnel)
3) Tap "Go!"
The app will then count down (using a notification in your menubar) and when it hits zero, it will automatically turn off airplane mode, allowing you to receive data and calls again.
—Pebble Smartwatch integration in NEXT RELEASE! (Currently works if you push all phone notifications to Pebble, but full integration is coming soon).
—Scheduling/Recurring timers (daily, weekly, hourly) for Airplane Mode
*NOTE: Pebble integration is taking some extra time because of the new Pebble SDK v2.0. I've decided to push forward and integrate with the new SDK, which is not backward-compatible with the old SDK, rather than continue with my SDK 1 version of the app.*
A little background: when you are in the subway, or elsewhere underground, your cell phone will search for service until it finds a wireless signal.
However, this causes an INCREDIBLY large drain on your battery, and your phone won't actually get a signal until you resurface above ground.
Airplane mode turns off the wireless on your phone, preventing your phone from searching for service and thus saving your battery.
Airplane Mode ON —> Wireless OFF (No data, calls, etc.)
Airplane Mode OFF —> Wireless ON (data, phone calls, etc.)
Thanks for looking, and enjoy!

***From Android 4.2 on - cannot toggle airplane mode with widget. This will now take users to the settings screen to change airplane mode. Will look into allowing this with root.
**If you are having problems seeing the widget, please try recreating the widget or reinstalling. Necessary code updates may require this action, sorry!
This is designed to match my "Simple Call Forwarding" widget and the "Signals Widget" bar.

• MODIFY GLOBAL SYSTEM SETTINGS
Permission is required to switch on / off airplane mode from the program. It does not change any other settings except airplane mode.
Google decided to secure the setting this app modifies; only system apps can change it now.
Graphical interface to edit the AIRPLANE_MODE_RADIOS setting.
In theory, this would let you control exactly what gets turned off and what doesn't when you turn on airplane mode. Android defines cell, bluetooth, and wifi, and device manufacturers can probably use more if they want.
In practice, though, this setting is almost nothing like what the docs say. On the Motorola Droid 2, the only constant honored seems to be wifi. Bluetooth is always turned off, though I can manually turn it back on after airplane mode is engaged.
In general, you will just have to check and see what works. This tool is intended mainly for developer types who want to see how the value affects what their device does when switched to airplane mode. I can make no promises for how it will work from one device to another. (Just like with all of my apps.)
You have to go to the normal settings screen to actually toggle airplane mode. (Once I realized how little this value actually seems to control, it didn't seem worth it to build in actual airplane mode toggling.)
In general, I'll give the same disclaimer I usually do: Do not download this app, it probably won't work. Expect nothing and you won't be disappointed.

Aircraft horizon is the most advanced artificial horizon on the marketplace.
It fuses data from your devices accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer sensors to provide you with accurate pitch and roll information depicted as a typical aircraft artificial horizon.
- Sensor fused, accurate pitch and roll via internal accelerometer, gyro and magnetometer sensors
- Linear acceleration compensated - it is accurate whilst moving (with appropriate sensors)
- Automatically selects the best available sensors to use from those available on your device
- Filtered, smoothed and reactive display - no jitter or jumping!
- 'Pitch level' levels the horizon to your installation
- Supports multiple screen resolutions
- Supports display in both portrait and landscape orientations
This is the free version of the app. It is ad supported and has a two minute time limit. Upgrading to the paid version removes both of these limitations.
Aircraft Horizon is very simple to use. Pitch and roll is dynamically shown when you move your device. Using the menu, you can pitch level based upon your installation, switch between portrait and landscape modes and toggle debug data on and off.
If you like this app, please try my other aircraft/flying related apps!
