Heading in the right direction Great app, works better than ever.
Great! It's come along light years since i used it last. Love it. My sky remote broke and this app allowed me to control the box sufficiently for ages. Love how you can get real time TV guide and planner organisation that links up with the box. Very handy. Keep it up. You just need a way to record shows without looking them up the the guide almond with fast forward and rewind abilities and then you could replace the remote completely.
As others have stated, the 'searching for Sky+HD boxes on network' just doesn't work so cannot use the app to schedule recordings on the fly. The freesat app is much better (if only it would work with sky..). BTW I've tried manually updating the sky box firmware as described but that makes no difference. Are there settings in the router that need to be changed?
Doesn't work too well. Doesn't always sync with the sky box so the recorded programs list is often out of date meaning I can't watch what I want on upstairs TV connected via rf 2. And can't find a way to delete when I have managed to watch something. Would much prefer simple arrow pad and coloured buttons so I could control the onscreen display as if I was using the standard remote. On the plus side, remote record generally works well
The following issue is still there so it looks like the fix is too difficult? The planner shown in the app is still unreliable. To ensure its updated correctly you have to manually disconnect from the sky box and then reconnect. Come on sky, surely it's not hard to always perform a sync when the app loads?
Well Done Sky.....Today I logged onto my account, or tried to, via this app. It no longer allows me to do. Instead it takes me to Google Play and offers me a new app that is for phones and won't work on my tablet. The straw that broke the camels back. Why do I bother paying you each month....Now TV beckons and that will save me and cost you about £500 pa. Better in my pocket than yours.
Full if bugs since update This app is full if bugs since the last update, links record and channel choice non HD channels to HD - very frustrating. Record does not always work, constantly gas to re link to the box- sort it out sky
