This app and service is terrible. When setting up, the app directs you to manually go to the phone settings menu to set permissions, it's the only app I've ever seen that requires this. And when I actually got in, it turns out that although I'm a Sky customer, I'm not actually eligible to watch anything beyond a couple of trailers for some reason. It's impenetrable.
So since last night I am now not able to download or stream anything due to an 'unknown technical issue'. Surely the issue is that your developers are chimps without the first clue of how to develop and maintain an app to achieve its basic operational functionality. Sort it out.
Downloads don't work on Chromebooks. Once downloaded, when you try to watch things the app crashes instantly and repeatedly. Before the latest update, you could watch things but with terrible sound. Can't wait to leave Sky.
Constantly crashes. Most of the time won't play because of a technical issue. One of the few apps I have to pay to use yet it's constantly unusable. Waste of money. Typical of the dreadful 'customer service's offered by SKY
I can watch BT Sport app all day with no interruptions it's brilliant. When I try to watch Football on Sky Go I get buffering issues, fuzzy picture all the time. Surely a big company like sky can take a leaf from BT Sport and produce an app that bloody works. .
Don't get me wrong, this app is my addiction, but lately I'm having a lot of issues with crashing and having to restart, and particularly annoying sounds cuts - the sound will cut out for 3-5 seconds, I know it's not much but it happens often and it's extremely noticeable, and its only on the app as i have no problems with sound on the web version. It's a shame because the idea is great, but the execution not so much. Maybe focus less on appearance and more on functionality and being user friendly.
