The app has been very helpful. Yet it's slow in running and I've experienced a few bugs when it comes to downloading. It was in a frozen state of "downloading" but after 20 minutes I had to find a way to force stop the app to get over that loop, I tried again later to download the same thing and this time it was fine. I am really happy with it at the same time though so I can put up with a lot. Things could be better. But in the end I'm still using the app.
I came here to rate this app 1 star only to find I had already done so months ago. This app is so infuriating. It consistently has problems. Either searches won't load, items won't checkout, or the app just crashes. Now my problem is I can't get my book to download. It says the item is checked out to me, but when I try to download it I just get stuck with a 'please wait' message. My library also uses Overdrive and I've never had a single issue with that app.
I love this app tremendously. My library isn't on Overdrive, so they told me to check Axis out and I'm happy I did. So far, I've only checked out audiobooks on my phone, but plan to do my reading on the Kindle. Fantastic. Keep improving it's speed, please!
I listen for hours at a time while working. Each time the app comes to the end if a chapter, it pauses until I stop what I'm doing and go unlock my phone. Often times, it doesn't pick up at the last place I stopped listening, sometimes backtracking several minutes, sonetimes to the beginning of a chapter. Not my favorite listening app.
Back to the old issue of listening and the app suddenly stopping and closing out all by itself every few minutes. It's very irritating. I like the idea of this app and how it works, just wish they could keep it from glitching.
I have this mostly for audiobooks. I wish you could listen at variable speeds on Android. Getting through a 45+ hour book in 14 days can be difficult as I only listen during my commute. Other than this, very good app.
Performance improvements and bugs fixes to make Axis360 better for you. Address a couple of issues found in 3.5.1.
