Makes BT WiFi App look good I thought they couldn't make anything worse than BT WiFi but I was wrong. Do not expect to be able go use this app if you swap from the original handset you had - it will not work. There is no option to select 'I changed my device'. You MUST go via the website and delete your ID which takes 24hrs. Then you need to start over with activation process. This means being at home because they use your landline for authentication codes. So if you are on holiday you are stuffed. Well done BT.
Ridiculous. Would be great if I could actually get it setup. Continually get shown the error message "Unknown Problem - There's been an unexpected error causing a problem. Either try again, or if problems persist, please try closing and resting the app". The dedicated BT SmartTalk helpline has been utterly useless in helping me with this problem. Online live chat only tell you to call the helpline! Terrible service all round.
Firstly it wouldn't sync with my home phone for reasons which were not listed in the FAQ so I had to uninstall it and try again with another number as I have two landlines. Other people mostly won't have two numbers so will get no further. But it ruined my mobile. The app wouldn't close without using "force stop" and even then it slowed everything to a crawl. I have uninstalled it. What a heap of ****
Poor customer service from BT This is a good app when it works however I changed my phone and went through the process of installing. Had to change my sim as the new phone needed the micro SIM. Spent an hour on the phone with BT and they kept saying my case has be upgraded to the smarttalk team and someboby will call me back. Have heard from them. This has happened twice and still have not had a call. Very very poor service.
Unreliable Works intermittently, people being called regularly report that they can't hear me or signal drops in and out making it impossible to accurately respond to automated systems, thereby rendering the app unusable. Mostly used within 10 feet of router. Have had some success when phoning from abroad although still mainly unreliable.
I have been trying for two weeks to get BT ST working as I have changed my mobile phone I have uninstalled the App and reinstalled it various times all to no avail. I have been on My BT page and deleted the original mobile also various times I have had FOUR letters from BT telling me that my phone is now connected All I keep getting on my mobile is 'Sorry its taking a bit longer than expected to set things up' I have been on the phone for 3 hrs over the last two weeks people say that they will phone me back within 48 hrs and don't, so now I am at the end of my tether. This APP worked perfectly well with my older Mobile
