Ratings and reviews

I would've put it closer to 4, but they have clearly only gotten worse. Premium shot up to $49.99/month, which is ludicrous for a dating app. But my biggest concern was when I was adding some updated photos. Kept receiving notifications stating "your photo has been moderated." Contacted support as these are photos I use everywhere, one is even my professional work photo. They then removed ALL of them, and support has yet to reply. Go figure. Another dating app on its way to the app graveyard.

Subscription service auto renews with no warning and the subscription page reads as though it will expire at the end of billing cycle. This feels intentional and predatory. I had a free trial and ended up paying for 2 months despite having thought I cancelled after the first bill. EDIT: Contacted Billing as suggested by reply only to be pointed at their T&C which I already knew didn't account for refunds. Seems to have missed the point. No mention of changing intentionally misleading wording.

Incredibly predatory monetization system, speed dating straight-up doesn't work unless you use a spotlight, and the app constantly tries to goad you into buying some other random feature that is gonna somehow revolutionize your dating experience. it's wild that I'm getting popup ads constantly to buy new things while already buying the premium service, which was just a complete waste of $50 (yes, $50 a month, that is indeed the price for it.) hinge is better in every way imo.
