Good idea, but Seems to be poorly implemented. It tells me my average frost date, tells me to plant when danger of frost is past, then tells me direct sow before the middle of average frost date. No way to exit the app other than hitting the backup 3 or more times. No way to make suggestions from within the app. I have an SG Note 2 running android version lollipop.
Needs to allow for adjustments, such as the use of a greenhouse. To general. Do not understand Mar 15 - Feb 12, shouldn't it be the other way around. It would be great if I could sync with the ap on my desktop. The other thing it would be great if we could manually override dates as the first and last freeze for the year. The last thing it doesn't include everything out there, for example For-get-me-nots. For what it is worth, can't find anything better.
Two Big Omissions This app has some nice features, such as planting dates, weather, garden planner and notes, and how to videos. However there are two big omissions. 1) There are only three categories of plant types: vegetables, herbs and flowers. Where's the fruit?!? Many home gardeners grow fruit as well. I wanted to have an app that would also allow me to make a plan for my small multi-variety orchard, as well as, my other fruits. 2) This app does not allow you to add any plants not on their lists.
Decent program Helpful information all in one location. It's easy to follow and the help videos are well made.
Meh Always a bit buggy, and highly generalized. You're better off buying the Timber Press guide to your area.
Slugggggish Very sluggish and takes to much time to navigate, acts like it's hogging up all your ram. Very limited info on plants. No fruit info other than melons. Please fix, had to remove since it's really sub par for a great idea.
