Great tool to learn a new or review a language. However, do be aware that if you do chose to subscribe to the premium service, it will automatically renew when it reaches near the end of the peroid. It does say there is a 7 day "initial" money back but it does not apply to renew of service and the year subscription cost $84.99 so be aware of that. Otherwise there's no issues with the free service and I'd stick with that.
I started out using Rosetta Stone which is of course way more expensive than this app. I can tell you I've learned so much more using this app than with Rosetta. So far I love it and it makes learning a second language fun and easy!
There are two bugs in recent Android version. 1. by Review words, sometimes when asked to arrange words to a sentence, but there is only a blank square in words section displayed, click that square, you won! 2. at startup, the Android version always highlights the first lesson, not like iOS version, which will highlight the last lesson that was studied, or next lesson that will be studied.
No good! It's quizzing me on arabic words written in Arabic. Without any knowledge of the written language it is impossible to learn. I took the 12 month subscription I would appreciate a refund. Thank you.
You don't teach Arabic and test students on their reading skills without first teaching them to read. It's ridiculous!
The app seems pretty incredible, but I haven't really used it yet. I downloaded it only to experiment a little and see how it functions. I decided not to choose Spanish or Italian, which I feel relatively confident in, to judge it harshly and compare it to better apps or a classroom. I decided to test out a new language, and I went with Russian because it uses the Cyrillic alphabet and if the app did a good job of teaching me said alphabet, maybe I would keep with it. I wasn't particularly displeased with the results, but as previously stated, I was only experimenting. I wanted to go test my ability in Spanish to see what it was like from a better perspective, but now the app has me locked into a language I didn't really want to study and to test a new language like I had hoped to do, but now I'd have to pay. If there was a trial, similar to Babbel before demanding an account be made and a payment becomes at least somewhat necessary, I think I'd be in full support of the app. At least for now, I don't think I will continue with the app, as Russian is not a current target language of mine and I'm not yet convinced that I should pay for extra services
