I have never been a runner, or very athletic at all, but I thought I'd give this app a try. I started in February, and just finished the 5k training. I'm signed up for my first 5k in a few weeks! The app is easy to use and the voice cues are great. You don't need to look at your phone. My only suggestions would be to show the time remaining on the lock screen and the ability to log repeat runs. A few times I would repeat a week if I didn't feel up to the jump up in time, but the app is otherwise excellent. I'm thinking about trying for 10k now!
On my first run I was exhausted after 30 seconds. Now I'm in week 3 and I want to keep going after 3mins. This is a great app. It keeps me on track and motivated for my next run. I'm always afraid that I won't be able to make it, but I do. It's a great feeling knowing that my body is getting fitter and healthier as the weeks go by. Thank You! BTW, this is the first time I've left a review on any app.
I haven't run in 20 years, and even that was against my will in P.E. C25K makes it easy, and I am finding myself willing to run more than the app suggests. Tip: don't think "run" means "Sprint's in the first week. Even a shuffle-run will get you there and build up your tolerance.
Very easy to use! Provides both a short tone and verbal notification at each run/walk change. I was afraid that there was going to be a lot of talking during the workout based on the intro the first time I used the app, but it's just the basic change in pace after that. I could use a 10 second delay at the start of the program to put the phone away in my running belt, but that is very minor. Love the program!
I really like this app. I never knew I could actually get into running as a sport. I have always hated it, but this app makes it so much more convenient to run, guiding you at every step. My only question is I can't find the option to disable auto pause r auto resume, that really interferes with the flow of my run. Can you please help me with that
Great app. One night in early March I told my girlfriend,"I'm going to the gym in the morning", on my way to the gym, I downloaded this app and started at week 1 day 1 and followed it all the way through. I ended up repeating week 5 because I didn't think I was ready to move forward. At week 6, I started running outside. Today I did my first 5k. When this started, I was probably able to do a mile in 12 minutes, maybe longer. Today I finished my 5k in 27:38 I was 22nd in my division and 91st out of 401 overall. I highly recommend this app. By week 8 I found myself addicted to running and looking forward to it every other morning.
