Nice app The interface on this app is very simple with little info. Also for me there's a bug in which it broadcasts that it's only connected to 1 satellite. But neither of these matter because it's an easy to use app with a good update speed. It's ad free, only uses the permissons it needs, and works just as well with the screen off. Keep up the good work.

Quite reliable and simple compared to other freely available but old apps. Tasker integration will make it perfect. Thank you.

Vary usefull app. And it`s free. Very nice app, and very useful for me, I use it on my Motorola Moto G and Moto defy Mini. On my Moto G it was not working at the begging but then i modify mi gps.conf file changing NMEA_PROVIDER=0 to NMEA_PROVIDER=1 and now is working like a charm.

Works well enough Using the app to try and pinpoint the location of WiFi APs at work (in conjunction with Vistumbler for Windows 7 x64). After a few tries I was able to get my phone to connect. I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Jelly Bean 4.2.2. A NOTE: I didn't have to add the com port in Windows 7. After getting the phone and laptop paired all I had to do was go into the Bluetooth services for my phone and enable the new serial connection. It does constantly crash on my Nexus 7 (2012 model), but as that is hacked with Pawn Pad installed, this review is not based on that experience, but something I would like to see fixed as I see this useful for that device's function.

Thank You!
Yes, i'll keep it free. cajax August 21, 2015
Hi Thomas, I removed the most annoying notification (then which appeared when you run application but didn't start the service). Unfortunately I cannot remove the rest because it will be against Google guidelines and then I cannot assure stable work of GPS2BT service. In short - Android OS 4+ may kill any background service run without notification Nice app The interface on this app is very simple with little info. Hi Ralph. This app actually translates raw NMEA data from GPS(GLONASS or whatever else) to connected devices as is. So it happens sometimes that some devices provide incorrect data. If this particular bug bothers you, contact me so i could fix it (if possible). Quite reliable and simple compared to other freely available but old apps. Tasker integration will make it perfect. Thank you.

Hi Russ. There is new version that might work now without any crashes. The code is rewriten from scratch to follow google guidelines so it is way more stable than before. If it still crashes please conact me to solve this problem. Doesn't start or stop reliably Works once started. However, pressing the start or stop button in the main window doesn't appear do anything most of the time. There is also no notification when the service is running.

Hi Glyn. There is new version that might work well. Though please keep in mind that sometimes it is device-specific. Great app since last update This is a great app since the last update when it turned on the GPS itself. Works to set an accurate time / location for my computer controlled telescope.

Normally it should wake GPS at the moment when client connects. But it emulates NMEA with data available from cell towers and WIFI until GPS fix. Not working on Samsung Galaxy Mini (GT-S5570B) While it is stayed it must, it don't: after two installs, including phone restart, it does not create any widget, and, of course, any stream (no NMEA, not other) on Bluetooth connection. So, GT-S5570B must to be removed from a list of compatible devices.
Works great for me! Loaded this on my Atrix and paired out with my laptop and use it with Garmin Mobile PC -which I had to upgrade to the latest version before it would find the GPS.
Doesn't work/HTC Desire HD/win7 In the instructions it says: 1. Pair PC and phone if never paired them before 2. Enable widget. 3. In Bluetooth configuration utility on your Desktop go to Settings->COM Ports section. 4. Click Add... In new dialog pick Outgoing and your phone in list of devices. In list of services pick first and click OK. It doesn't appear on the list of services so I can't add it.
Works good, channel changing needs fixing Works as I expected, gpsd up and running. I wrote a shell script to deal with the changing channel number im not sure if market will let me post it: pkill gpsd rfcomm release /dev/rfcomm0 Channel=`sdptool browse <BLUETOOTH MAC> | grep -A 7 GPS | tail -n 1 | awk -F\ '{print $2}'` rfcomm bind /dev/rfcomm0 <BLUETOOTH MAC> $Channel echo "Channel= $Channel" gpsd /dev/rfcomm0 & Hopefully this helps someone else
No working at first. Then I found this trick. 1 start the widget. 2 Start a program that kicks off GPS receiver. 3 Get the paired device to run. Ok
Great Pairs my Transformer Prime to my Nexus works great if the widget doesnt show after install restart your phone
Works great in whatever state it is in but will lock up the phone when switching it on or off. But will continue fine in new state
Great app. It works well, except the channel keeps changing, which makes it a bit troublesome to use with linux. (Ubuntu 10.10 and Motorola Droid)
Works great the first time after I add the widget. I have to remove and re-add the widget each time afterwards. Droid.
Tried twice, uninstalling twice. Could not connect to my vaio neither my sony-C902 which requires external gps. Samsung galaxy pro.
Works perfectly to give my archor tablet gps from my droid x with out futzing!!!
The widget does not show up in list of available Widgets on my phone. HTC desire running a gingerbread rom. Wish I could test it.
Doesn't work on my fascinate with windows vista sp1 could be vista's fault its not allowing any services to appear once outgoing ports selected
Rfcomm channel keeps changing. Annoying with linux also The widget seems to disappear and requires reinstall fairly often. When it works its great.
Doesn't work on Dell Streak - slows device to point of being unusable.
Does exactly what I wanted. Interface to microsoft bluetooth stack painless. Wireless survey well and truly GPS'd.
Does the job well but as others have said it needs re installing after a reboot.
I have a scala rider headset in my motorcycle helmet. And have my droid x mounted to my k l r 650 dual sport. I can not wait to pair the devices.
