About this app

All you need to run your business from anywhere is Ruby and your cell phone. Use the Ruby Android app to view messages, update your status, make calls and send texts from your business number. Easily forward your calls to and from Ruby or check your usage while on the go.

To take advantage of Ruby for Android, you must be a current customer of Ruby's live receptionist or chat service and have a Ruby username and password. To learn more about us, please visit us at www.ruby.com. If you are a current Ruby customer and need assistance logging in, please contact staff@ruby.com.

- Check messages and listen to voicemails.
- Show your business number as your caller ID when making calls and sending texts from the app.
- Update your call handling with Status.
- Turn your Ruby answering on or off with Call Forwarding.
- View company details and usage.
- Create Ruby Contacts and receptionists will have those details handy when they connect calls.

Has a tendency to self-dismiss pop-up alert messages That appear when the app is opened, so they disappear too quickly to be read, and no way I can find to view prior alerts. Kind of odd that I can't dismiss activity from the home screen but have to switch to Activity. Slide and tap in activity screen is a little more cumbersome than slide and release (like Gmail uses).

Hi Tom, Thank you for taking the time to leave a thoughtful review. We will certainly take a look at our pop-up settings to be sure you can dismiss them yourself in the future. We tried to make the Activity screen feel like an inbox and understand if you are used to Gmail this might feel different. We'll pass your feedback to our development team.

Ruby is great except this app, which is a necessary component but terrible in that it takes forever to load which is a big problem when on the go. Also, the texting and notification functions are buggy and when you make calls from the Ruby number it does not track minutes spent on the call which is another problem for lawyers who bill by the hour.

We appreciate your feedback and regularly update our app to be faster and provide more features. Version 6.2 has an updated usage chart to track your used minutes against your current plan, and you can always see specific call times by tapping that activity and looking at "duration." We hope this helps with your billing as you run your business.

Perfect app that I used briefly. I never used it or took advantage of my original business purposes for payment of the features that I originally planned on using the app for. The app was beneficial to me temporarily but I never had the chance to use it properly.
