Cost is a little high but, I've tried a lot of the other meditation apps and just not up to the standard of this one, so for me, the cost is really paying for the better ui and experience, so I don't mind so much. Great work. Only thing I noticed is I'm not sure if the daily reminder is working, or maybe I'm snoozing it before I'm awake. Anyway. Off to bed to try out the deep sleep meditations :)
Serene within, serene without. The Calm app is sublime. Took me straight into mindfulness and meditation. Reminded me of all the things I knew but had forgotten to practice. Calm is like having a good friend tap you on the shoulder encouraging you both to hang out together. Just what I needed to find my way back. A big thank you to the Calm team. :-)
Almost Perfect I use this app every single day, and love it! Just one area I think could really improve and three meditation ideas. This newest update got rid of my ability to see the list of recently used sessions... I used that list for all kinds of things and would love for it to come back! I would also love to see a meditation for depression and one for pain (chronic, mainly). A meditation for illness could also be useful. I really love this app and look forward to all the new meditations!
Relaxing This app is great for helping you relax and reminding you that you need to take a little time to yourself every day. I do have an issue with the cost though. My phone also vibrates when it is finished a meditation, can I turn that off? It wakes me up.Someone else said below about the app not running in the background, I feel this is a major downfall of the app.I don't use the scenes much cos I use the app to help me sleep, and the screen being on is distracting.
Brilliant What the title says, It keeps improving and is great when you need some soothing sounds to Calm
Nice. Earlier I criticized this app for spotty quality of meditations. I must have been in a bad patch, because actually they seem fine in general. I no longer quarrel so much with the price. But I have the feeling that there is somewhere further that meditation can go. Although the meditations have different titles, they seem to be ultimately the same. I wonder if there could be a meditation on something like reading, for example, or at least study. Perhaps a broadening of themes is possible.
If you like Calm, please take a moment to rate the app! It's pretty painless, and it's a great way to help us spread the word about the amazing benefits of meditation.
