Processing is already an amazing prototyping tool, but having a pocket-sized version of it is even more useful. I can write down any code idea that I have while travelling, and most of the desktop features are here, and if they're not, you can usually replicate them with minor tweaking. In addition to that, through the use of libraries such as Ketai, accessing Android features has never been more straightforward. Overall a great port of the desktop version, the performance is here, and it's probably the most useful tool for anyone who wants to make Android apps FROM their Android device. Looking forward to future updates. Keep up the good work, thank you Calsign Labs !
Great app. Horrible project management. I had a really awesome experiment going and accidentally hit back twice and lost it. The one that had just opened over wrote my save for some reason and I had no option, because instead of just having a "Save" function this app just auto saves. So I had no option to save copies and ended up losing everything. Great. Thanks.
I really love the idea of this. I tinkered away with great enthusiasm for about a day and then.... all my code disappeared into nothingness... please fix this... I want to be able to tinker around at all times! For now I write in Google drive and use the app only for compiling. tested on a moto Z2 play
Used to run great, loved making random sketches for friends and family but now it won't let me press the install button when running a sketch for the first time. Really weird thing is it used to let me install the sketch but I had to wait a couple of seconds before hitting the install button. I've seen many reviews get responses from you guys so I'm hoping I can help you guys figure out this bug. I know it's Christmas so I hope the developers have a great Christmas! Edit: Excellent! Got a reply explaining exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. Top notch stuff, great job guys!
Really slick. Simple things like disabling the keyboards auto caps makes writing code on tablet less of a nightmare. I just wish there was an option for an alternative compiler for previewing simpler code. As im learning the language it gets a little tiresome waiting 10 secs to build the app every time I want to see a change. Only a small quibble though. Cheers
The new update indeed looks great but it makes the Android apps more bulky. I created an app which had about 4 MB of size using the previous version of APDE. Now, the same app consumes 10 MB of space using the newer version of APDE. Also, even after the app (the one made using newer version) crashes, it doesn't show any dialog box regarding the app crash rather a blank screen.
