There are two major functions:

Camera and Mic Blocker is also useful for those who work at secure environments. One time only – define your workplace location and let the app block your camera and microphone automatically when you’re at work. You can also protect your settings with a password so that the app will always function and your device will be constantly protected while you’re at work. Please note: When the application is password-protected, the level of security is at its maximum. Even when your device has no cellular location reception or when you are in Airplane Mode, your camera and mic will remain blocked.

Camera and Mic Blocker use various methods to securely block your device’s microphone, yet the possibility still exists that the app will not work on certain devices (based on the combination of device type and operating system). In the event that your device’s microphone is not successfully blocked by the app, please let us know in an email and we promise to get back to you when the issue is resolved.

Note:
Camera and Mic Blocker was designed to consume negligible battery power, therefore the location aware function is based on your network location provider and will not use your GPS (Network location accuracy is widely variable and can sometimes be worse than 1500 meters, therefore setting a "camera disabled area" radius of 50-250 meters is effective only if there is an active wi-fi hot spot in the desired location, otherwise you should set a radius of at least 300 meters).

This app uses Device Administrator permission. This permission level allows Camera and Mic Blocker to block all your device's cameras.

Ratings and reviews

I don't think the Whitelist feature works. I added the Camera app and it's still blocked and not being whitelisted. Update: I know what I'm doing - The whitelelist toggle for the Camera app for example only creates a shortcut on the launcher home screen to unblock the camera, when exit from the Camera app, the camera stays unblocked. Has to manually block camera again. This is not automatic or convenient.

Just to be clear, the 5 stars is because they honored my previous purchase on file with them of this app, after finding that Android 14 changed in their API that how elevated privileges (Admin) works, so they allowed my purchase to transfer to their newer app which had to be reworked that solved this problem that had occurred. In general, this app rocked when it still worked for me -- hope the new one is just as good :) Thanks guys!

App does not seem to be working as advertised. With this app set to block camera and microphone, I open an app that have microphone permissions via Android permissions manager and I expect rhis app to block access to the microphone but it does not unless I toggle the app off/on. I've seen the same behavior with camera access as well.
