What's new
- Screen size is considered in distortion correction mode.
- "Cardboard" app's cardboard device setting is used for distortion correction.
- Video mode will be detected by file name wisely. E.g. "example_180_sbs.mp4" will be played side-by-side 180 mode.
- Rotation killer mode is added to head tracking option. This will fix rotation issues on some devices.
- Pure gyro mode is added to head tracking option
- Crashes on starting app are fixed
- Crash on Zenfone is fixed
- Finder performance is improved dramatically
- All ui performance is improved

Notes
- Bluetooth mouse is disabled temporary to fix performance issue
- App will crash when you open file that contains "%" in the file name. Please rename and open the file

This app is great for watching 180 and 360 degree films but you need to make sure to close it properly each time. If you just switch out of the application it will keep draining your battery at a rate of about 1.5 to 2% per hour (stats from google battery-historian). I also find center slowly drifts right. Maybe 1 degree per minute.

Best go to VR app I love how it recognizes different layout options for each type of VR video. Some are stacked 360 some are split screen 180... ect. Awesome Awesome Awesome. Other players I've tested don't make it as easy or just can't.

awesome App, only thing i can see missing (For now) is the possibility to customize the time for forward and back. (change the pre-set) I would be willing to pay for a pro version if it included more features.

Samsung S4: the drift is sooo huge (with any drift correction option) that you have reset the view in every minute. I really dont know it is a hardware or SDK problem, but too bad it exist because it would be a good application.

Tested on Galaxy S6. Excellent universal player. This one has the best configuration settings menu I've seen so far. I had a 360 3D video that I couldn't get to play properly with all the other players, even the creators recommended one! This is the only one that allowed me to set it up properly. A must have.

Probably the best, most customizable player available The best feature of this app is the screen size function, essentially allowing for a zooming in the field of view. More buttons in video to change this on-the-fly would be really good (maybe an advanced buttons panel?). I would really like more functions in the 360 sphere. It provides higher quality viewing compared with half-dome videos, but the lacks FF RW or even the recentre image function. Would easily be 5* with some improvements.

It's pretty good Lots of different options for multiple video types and preferences. However, the app occasionally glitches and doesn't start a video. I also can't seem to find videos on my sd card which means I have to sacrifice internal storage in order to use it. But other than those issues it works great

needs better seeking control best player so far in terms of video quality for google cardboard because of the ability to change video size. definetly needs a better forward and back seeking as its too aggressive.. option to set own time or a clickable duration bar along the bottom would be great.

The BEST Cardboard Player. I tried over 10 other players and this is my favourite by FAR! All option before and during video play make the end-experience very "surrounding". My only 2 suggestions: -1- better drift cancelling by sensor-fusion -2- Add inputs like the cardboard's magnet and a simple "head shake" to reset the camera and fast-forward the video. Keep the good job guys!! :-)

It's one perfect app actually it's one of the bests out there. But I have some problems which I really need to be corrected asap Ok first and the major issue I have right now is whenever I open the vr app with headphones plugged in there's this huge static noise which only happens with this app and it stops when I terminate the app. Secondly the screen edges seem to distort and flicker but it's better than other vr for instance CINEVEO is very good with curved screen with cinema theme and good graphics too but the screen edges distort too much which totally ruins the immersion. Hopefully these problems especially the sound problem will get corrected soon. I wouldnt mind paying for this app why the hell not when it's the only player of my choice.

GREAT! NEEDS IMPROVEMENT! I love this app. The only thing lacking is that I thought it needs different shapes/lenses I can see the videos better. And the rewind/forward should be more precise that way I can move to which part of the video that I want.

Everything! This plays it all, but it does have a learning curve. Sometimes I have to tweak the settings. It eli old be nice if you could get to all the settings in vr mode.

Stacked at Side-by-Side setup. At first i play video on full screen in single video screen but now it always play on Side-by-Side setup. Is it normal? anything than that it's great application i can play 360 video on it

Drift is a VR issue Aside from the drift that all movie player apps seem to have, this offers the one option I needed....no motion hence no drift. If you select touch/mouse movement, you'll be good to go. I love the screen sizing option as well, best one I've seen yet:)

Extensive options, and broad compatibility. Can choose what sensors the app uses too. Which is very helpful for phones that have a crappy gyro.

Works great, need to tweak settings Even though it knows what cardboard I'm using, I still had to tweak the picture size. Otherwise it does play very well. I do wish there was a slider for video length.

Great App Awesome app. Works incredibly and feels really tight. The only thing i would change is the ability to customize your UI... things like control placement and which buttons you want, as opposed to just hidden/visible. Maybe the option to display a reticle too so you dont have to adjust small amounts at weird angles to hover over things like FF and RWD. Otherwise it's flawless.

It's great. Only missing a proper VR menu that lets you choose options by aiming. And I really wish there was a paid version that god rid of the ads. Even if they're very few and inconspicuous.

like the idea of this app, you need to put Scene, Folder to choose video and Fast Forward like cmoar VR cinema and more compatibility with movie file like FLV which doesn't works on this app. and for 180 and 360 video, the menus should be placed at the right position, it isn't convenient. even some menus are missing on 180 and especially on 360 video

This would be my favorite VR player but bugs make it massively frustrating. The biggest one is the gyroscope support gets out of sync. The higher I look up the worse it gets. If I look up toward the ceiling and back down it will off as much as 30 degrees and just progressively gets worse and worse. Every 30 seconds or so I have to reset I'd blame the hardware but Google's apps never get out of sync. Hope it gets fixed.

Still getting drift in 180 view. When viewing 180° VR videos, I get noticeably fast drift on my HTC One M8. The screen always drifts to the right, as if I were turning my head to look left. Within 30 seconds, what should be the center of the screen is instead the left-side edge. It seems like it would work fine if this were fixed, but in the current state I can't give a good review. I know it's not just my phone, because I don't experience this problem with standard or 360 views. Please fix.

Plays huge Oculus 180° VR videos, on my S6 Works best with the brightness reduced. Video quality is good on my Samsung S6. Some interlacing artifacts are observed. 1/2 height 3D SBS videos/stills can be viewed and panned. This app has the best performance for VRP's 4K HD 180° 3000x1500, 50 FPS Oculus videos.

Will not play video I keep getting the same error when try to view a video. The audio plays but the screen is blank. I can see the menu buttons and select them by looking at them. I'm getting the same error with video I've recorded with my phone and video I've downloaded.

Only just started playing with google cardboard VR, this media player works a treat on my Sony Z2. Love how for the most part one can navigate play menu without the need of a bluetooth controller. This app has many options available some of which i still have to explore.

Worthy one Yes it plays most 3d vr formats. But above that it can play 2d movies on cardboard and on supersized virtual screen so that i use my head to pan left and right. First player out of many others that actually work!

Best VR video player available. Could do with some 3D stack offset settings. I.e with 3D 360 over under stacked video, 1 eye tends to be higher than the other making it impossible to focus.
