About this app

Like speed bumps on the road that make you slow down, SpeedBump helps you reduce time spent on addictive apps. Set an app time limit when opening TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, or anything else you find yourself scrolling mindlessly.

How it works:

1. When opening addictive apps, set a time limit
2. If time's up, SpeedBump will annoy you
3. Take a 15-minute break before next use

Features:

- Limit screen time for any app on your phone, including social media, Netflix, and games.
- Build healthy habits: no need to completely block apps like social media - connect with friends without doomscrolling for hours.
- Be intentional: the more you want to use, the more you wait before opening. This prevents compulsive behavior without getting in your way.
- Affordable: we don't have to "maximize shareholder value"
- Simple: set an app limit when actually opening it, based on your needs (including ADHD).
- Fun annoyances to help you stop scrolling: the screen time police, endless privacy policies, or fake cookie banners.

- Coming soon: Block specific features within apps (Reels, Shorts, etc.)

SpeedBump helps you break the cycle of phone addiction while promoting digital wellbeing. You can connect with friends and use apps you enjoy - just without the endless scrolling. Because gentle reminders don’t work anymore. Neither do fixed timers or motivation quotes. Sometimes, you need something more… direct.

Take control of your screen time with SpeedBump - the speed bump for your phone.
