Description
Notif is an app built for Android 4.1+ that allows you to create rich notifications for reminders, lists, passwords, pictures, or anything else that you can think of. The possibilities are endless!
NEW:
Notif History has been released! This will back up your text and list notifications and allows you to re-create notifications by tapping on them. FYI, this will not save picture notifications. Just text and list. Swipe to delete notifications because this free version will only show your last 10 :( Consider buying Notif Pro for unlimited backup!
NEW:
Create notifications hands-free with VoiceNotif! Just tap the microphone icon at the top and it will listen for a title and your content. It will create an expandable notification, just as if you typed it out yourself.
There are three types of notifications that you can create:
1) Text: Holds a title, an expanded title, and multiple lines of content when expanded
2) Picture: Holds a title, one line of content, and an image that you can take or retrieve from your gallery
3) List: Holds a title, up to 7 items, a summary, and one line of content when the notification is reduced
To expand a notification that isn't already expanded, simply pull down on it with two fingers. Note that by default, only the highest notification is expanded.
What is “ongoing”?
- The term ongoing means that the notification will be fixed in the notification shade. You will not be able to swipe it away or clear it, unless you click on it and press “delete”. If the check box is checked, it will be ongoing. If not, it will not be ongoing. Whether or not the notification is ongoing is not related to it being restored after a reboot.
What is “priority”?
- Priority, by definition, is the amount of attention a notification will receive. You can set the priority in Notif to default, minimum, or maximum.
- Default: Just the norm. Like when you receive a text message, it will appear and other notifications can appear above or below it.
- Minimum: These will always be fixed to the bottom and the icon will not appear in the status bar.
- Maximum: These will always be fixed to the top.
Upgrade to Notif Pro to get these features:
+ Notification editing
+ Unlimited Notif History
+ Over 200 icons
+ Integration with Android's share intents
+ QuickNotif - create and clear notifications from notification shade
+ Lots more to come
+ Only $1.49!

About me: I am a high school student. Updates will not always be as quick as you might like :)
A few known issues to be fixed:
- The resolution for pictures taken with camera in the Big Picture tab is pretty low. An easy workaround is to use your phone's camera app to take the picture and then use the "Get Picture" button in Notif to grab it from the gallery. It will be high resolution.
- Cannot get picture from gallery on Nexus 7
Permissions explained:
1. RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED -> Used to restore notifications on reboot

Swipe = Delete Should add option to make swipe equals delete. I swiped all my notifications when it's overdue, and when I restarted the phone they all showed up again. To click to delete a notification is too much of a chore for me, lol..

Crash when adding a picture notification This app crashes consistently when I try to add a picture notification from gallery on a Nexus 4 running Android 4.4.2. Informed the developer but I've not received a response yet. It's a key feature, so pending a fix for this issue, I cannot recommend either the free or pro version yet.

For now it is a good app but even if I mark ongoing notification and for any reason I need to clear the notification area because getting too busy the notes disappear I noticed this is happening only the day after the note was made, but still very annoying please fix it and I give 5 stars as this app deserves

Uninstalled; wanted to like but The notifications keep disappearing from my screen after a few days even though I don't delete them or even open the app. I don't schedule them to self destruct. Defeats the purpose as I have to recreate them over & over and don't always remember the list

I expect better! My ongoing notes don't stay put in my notification window! They used to, but no more! That fact alone makes this useless to me!

Thanks for trying it out! This reboot feature has been added in the latest 0.7 update Eric Carboni August 14, 2013
Grab the Pro version :)
Nice app... And I would upgrade to get the extras and to support the developer's work but I think he really should listen to the feedback regarding the app icon. I cannot digest or get use to seeing the unattractive fox icon on my desktop. Nope not feeling it in the least. Otherwise, a helpful application & good idea!

Notify Me!

USERS WHOSE DEVICE SUDDENLY STARTS TALKING: THIS IS A BUG IN YOUR OPERATING SYSTEM, Notify Me! DOESN'T EVEN USE VOICE OUTPUT! PLEASE READ http://goo.gl/mMZYa OR CONTACT ME TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM!
Have you ever seen an iOS device as it displayed a notification, that the screen lights up and the notifcation is displayed on the lock screen, and thought to yourself that you want to see this happen on your Android device? Well, I did and thus createt this app - Notify Me!
Notify Me! is simple in design: You add apps of which the notifications should be displayed on the lock screen to a list, specify¹ the behavior of those notifications on the way and wait for a notification - it will be displayed as a popup in front of your lock screen.
¹No worries, the default behavior should suit most people's needs:
-Popups will only be displayed if the screen is off locked.
-Notifications will light the screen up.
-On Android 4.1+, popups of notifications that provide a bigger view will be expandable.
All of these settings can be customized! It is, for example, possible to make notifications just light up the screen, without showing a popup or to don't let notifcations light up the screen, with a popup waiting for you to manually turn the screen on, etc...
Generic aspects of popups can be customized, too. You can choose between a user interface with buttons and a user interface with a slider for interactions² with the popup. You can even set a custom screen timeout for cases when notification popups lit up your screen and you find your systemwide screen timeout to be too long for this popups.
²These interactions are possible: You can view the notification (this unlocks the screen and is effectively like tapping the actual notification in Android's notification area), dismiss the popup (unfortunately it is, as far as I know, no possible in Android to dismiss the actual notification this way) or expand popups of notifications that provide a bigger view (of course, only on Android 4.1+).
The only thing you'll have to do in any case is to enable Notify Me! as an accessibility service! Because there has been a lot of trouble with this in the test phase, Notify Me! will check on every app launch if it's accessibility service is running properly and provides you with a shortcut to the corresponding settings screen, if necessary. How often there will be a need for this depends strongly on the implementation of accessibility services in the Android build you are running! Whilst, during development, I only had to enable it once after the initial installation on my HTC Desire Z running CyanogenMod 10.1, I needed to enable, disable and re-enable it on my Sony Xperia Z (with stock Android 4.1.2) after the initial installation and need to disable and re-enable it after every reboot of the phone or update of the app - your mileage may vary! This inconvenience is, as far as I know, not my fault and either a bug or a security feature in some Android builds. <-(SHOULD BE FIXED IN CURRENT VERSION!)
If there are questions left, you should first consult the forum thread on XDA-Developers http://goo.gl/gmfHl before contacting me, as most questions have been answered before.

ReNotify Notification Maker
ReNotify allows you to set notification reminders ridiculously fast when you're on the go. You can take your phone out, set a reminder, and put it back in your pocket quicker than you read this sentence, seriously.
Put the app on your home screen on lock screen, and all you have to do is open it, immediately type your message and press a button, and your reminder will be waiting for you next time you look at your phone.
Unlike other quick notes apps, ReNotify allows you to view, dismiss, or add more notes instantly from anywhere on your device via the notification tray. You will also see a reminder icon in the status bar the instant you turn the screen on.
Unlike other notification apps, ReNotify’s focus is on speed. No complicated options, no choosing icons, just a lightning fast process that allows you to leave yourself a reminder in literally four or five seconds.
ReNotify has a clean and simple UI, is free from ads, and takes up virtually no memory.

TF: Fast Light
Fast Light is a plugin for Tiny Flashlight and depends on it.
Fast Light gives you quick and convenient access to your flashlight via 3 different methods:
* Shake on Lock screen
* Voice commands on Lock screen
* Persistent notification
Shake on Lock screen:
================
* You must already have a screen lock before attempting to use this feature. If you don't have one, open Device Settings -> Security -> Screen lock and pick one.
* Face Unlock may be problematic, because the camera interferes with the flashlight function
* Enable Shake on Lock screen from Fast Light
* Press the power button to turn off your screen
* Press the power button again to show the lock screen - do NOT unlock the device
* Shake
Custom lock screen applications (downloaded from the market):
================
Custom lock screens do not behave like the standard ones. Right now Fast Light supports the following custom lock screen apps:
* GO Locker
* WidgetLocker
* MagicLocker
Timeout setting and accidental starting
================
Fast Light uses an advanced shake-detection algorithm, but there is always the possibility of false-positives. The most frequent case of accidental starting of the light happens while the device is in the user's pocket during a walk and the power button gets pressed. If a timeout value has not been set the battery will be drained very fast. The recommended Timeout value is 20 seconds.
Voice on Lock screen
================
* This feature is available on Android 2.2 and newer
* You must already have a screen lock before attempting to use this feature. If you don't have one, open Device Settings -> Security -> Screen lock and pick one.
* Face Unlock may be problematic, because the camera interferes with the flashlight function
* Read the info for custom lock screens and the Timeout setting in the Shake on Lock screen section above.
* Enable Voice on Lock screen from Fast Light
* Press the power button to turn off your screen
* Press the power button again to show the lock screen - do NOT unlock the device
* You can say one of the following commands in English
- "light"
- "lights"
- "torch"
* Additional languages will be added soon.
If you are on Android 4.0 or earlier:
================
Voice recognition requires an active internet connection. You can change the language from:
Device Settings -> Voice input & output -> Voice recognizer settings
If you are on Android 4.1 and newer:
================
You can install a language pack for most popular languages, so the voice recognition will not require an active internet connection.
To change the language:
Device Settings -> Language & input -> Language
To install a language pack:
Device Settings -> Language & input -> scroll down -> Voice Search -> Offline speech recognition
Persistent notification:
================
The persistent notification allows you to toggle the light from anywhere as long as the notification bar is accessible. There is an additional option, which shows the battery usage and remaining time while the light is on (only on devices, which has a camera flash). Before using the battery usage feature, you must calibrate it. Here's how:
The light should be kept on for 5-10 minutes for maximum accuracy. Make sure the device is NOT charging. After the first data appears, you must NOT turn it off. The longer you keep the light ON, the better accuracy. This has to be done only once.
Read Phone State permission:
================
This permission is used to stop the light, when the device starts ringing or prevent the light from starting while in a call.

Advanced interactive Notifications in Tasker with JellyBean support.
(WARNING: YOU MUST HAVE TASKER INSTALLED FOR THIS APP TO BE OF ANY USE: AutoNotification is only usable as a plugin in Tasker. Please don't rate it negatively because of this.)
Please don't leave negative feedback without contacting me first. I'll always do my best to help you, and I can't do that if I can't contact you.

- SubText (Secondary notification text)
- Message on receive (you can react to messages in an AutoNotification profile)
- Message on Touch (you can react to messages in an AutoNotification profile)
- Message on Dismiss

- Id (Notifications with equal Ids will overlap eachother; useful for situations where you'd only want the latest status update, e.g. your battery level)
- Priority (controls how high on your notification list it appears)
- Make Persistent
- Dismiss on Touch (true or false)
- Sound
- LED Color
- LED On (time the LED is on)

Get the full version in-app.
Like mentioned above, you can react to notifications in Tasker using the joaomgcd command system also available in the AutoRemote and AutoBarcode apps. Check out how it works here: http://goo.gl/PRQas

Tips for using lists with AutoNotification: http://goo.gl/CmrRI
Basically, to create an interactive notification that copies the word "test" to the phone's clipboard, follow these steps:
- Add an AutoNotification notification action in Tasker (new Task -> Plugins -> AutoNotification)
- Set any of the fields above that you can react to (like Message on Touch) to "copy=:=test" (without the quotes)
- Create a new profile and add an AutoNotification condition to it (New Profile -> Condition -> Plugins -> AutoNotification)
- In the message filter write "copy=:=". This will make this profile activate with every message that has the "copy=:=" expression in it.
- In the corresponding Entry task add a Copy to Clipboard action and set the text to %ancomm. %ancomm is one of the variables available in the Entry Task of an AutoNotification profile and is any text to the right of =:=
- Done. Now "test" is on your phone's clipboard
In AutoNotification, the default variable names for its messages are:
- %anmessage for all of the message
- %anpar1, %anpar2, %anpar3, etc for every word on the left of =:=
- %ancomm for all text to the right of =:=
With this command system you can do anything you want in Tasker from your custom notification.
Most of the functionality of this app is also present in AutoRemote (http://goo.gl/1nPde), so get that if you're interested in controling Tasker remotely and much much more.
Notification Interception only works with Android 4.3+
