Crowdchupa is an application for crowd sourcing data collection on pavement defects. The application has a map interface which is filled with objects of monetary value, symbolized by coins, fruits, and berries. The users collect these objects by recording video with the application. Each user is paid for the total value of the objects they collect. The videos are used to analyze and locate pavement defects from the road network.
The application needs a permission to use the users location data and camera. While in the recording mode, it sends the video data and the gpx tracks of the users to a server, which are used to analyze and locate the pavement defects. The user also needs to fill in information such as social security ID, IBAN, and tax percentage for the processing of payments.
The data entered by the users to the application or collected while using the application is handled in compliance with the EU GDPR regulations. The user needs to accept the terms of service that can be found from www.carchupa.com/termsofservice/.
