I just read some reviews that all seem to be negative. So I will write an opposite review. My wife got me hooked on Carrot. So i need to know why people complain about getting something free. I have earned over 800 Aeroplan points (about 10 months)using Carrot. My wife more. Its easy to use. Install...then walk! Tada! Bigger bonus for answering simple questionaires about numerous health and energy related topics. Bonus for inviting friends. Hey if you dont walk....then dont install. But if you do then whats stopping you. If you're an Aeroplan member. The 2 points earned daily means you account won't close as long as points are being added.
Great App, but needs to be compatible with other trackers like Garmin. Also, since this morning stop recording steps even with resync...everyone else I know using the app having the same issue.
Bit of a scam. I see there are several similar complaints regarding the non-optional increase in the number of daily steps required to earn points. The response to the complaints is that the steps will be re-assessed over the period of a few weeks. So that means no points can be earned during that time. Smells of bs to me.
Recent update and app won't load: Still new to this app. I liked it until today. I was on the last day of my first 14day challenge. I can't upload my steps after this update. I have been trying for a while. I will lose my 40 points on the challenge. This is not postive motivation.
It pointless that the app doesn't track your steps if you forget to open it at the end of the day. I walk way over my goal everyday, but because I don't open the app, it doesn't track the steps
I mean, you can get scene points for hitting step goals and completing surveys, but only at about 4 points a day (potentially less). Works out to be about 6 cents per completed challenge. Combine that with the challenges increasing without reward increases, and you have a formula for demotivation. The only reason it's getting 3 stars and not less is because it's at least trying to inform people about healthy lifestyles.
