SOSocial is a tool that allows who finds himself in situations of extreme necessity to send an SOS directly from his device with just one click, sharing it in real time on the social profiles (Facebook, Twitter…) and sending it via SMS to a maximum of five people.
The app allows users to facilitate rescue operations by tracking and automatically sharing the location.
To use the app an Android device with GPS antenna and SIM enabled to data traffic is needed. In order to work properly, the app once downloaded and installed must be properly set through access to a simple and practical settings panel, in which you can:
- change the default text of the message to send;
- insert up to five contacts to send the SMS to;
- connect the app with your social accounts (Facebook and Twitter) allowing the message to reach a wider audience with its publication on them;
- activate a sound alarm to attract the attention of people nearby who needs assistance.
To enable SOSocial to track your location, you need to activate the localization system of your device. The position will be shown as hyperlink that, when clicked, will open a web page containing a map (of Google Maps) on which the geographical coordinates will be reported. Without a GPS signal, the last recorded position will still be shown.
