About this app

CensData is a mobile application whose main objective is to allow census takers to keep an exhaustive record of game species. It is a step forward to have digitized and real-time information on distribution and abundance.
To be an official censor of the Hunting Observatory you will have to follow the following steps:

1. Before starting, keep in mind that you must be federated, be a friend of the Artemisan Foundation or one of the associated entities.
2. The platform is designed to have a single user per hunting ground, but the censuses can be carried out by different people as long as they use the same user account and password.
3. Send the request through the web https://observatoriocinegetico.org/.
4. Then you will receive a text message (sms) with your username and password, along with a link to the CensData app.
5. Open CensData on your mobile and enter your username and password.
6. Click on "Allow", when asked if you allow CensData to access your location.
7. From this moment you will be able to use the application.
8. Check the additional documentation that you will receive in your email.

9. At home you will receive a vest and additional paper documentation.

Census takers can select different types of censuses depending on the target species, as well as record observations of diseased individuals, and number of captures. For each census, the species observed can be identified, and the time, distance, latitude and longitude of each observation can be recorded at all times. In this way, the census taker will be able to have a much clearer vision of the evolution of the game species in its limits, and with the union of all the information it will be possible to make comparisons at the regional and national level that help to improve the design of the closure orders. .

Remember that CensData is a private access application, under evaluation by the Observatory team. In addition to being able to record your path automatically when you have CensData in the background while doing a census, CensData needs to have access to your location at all times. For this reason, in order for it to work and to be able to register your route correctly, activate the location in the background at all times while you are using CensData.
