About this app

PhotoDesk is an offline photo organizer that groups your photos by the people in them — entirely on your device, with no account, no cloud upload, and no internet required for the core features.

FACE RECOGNITION, ON-DEVICE
Scan your gallery and PhotoDesk automatically groups photos by matching faces using a local machine learning model. Nothing is ever uploaded — face data never leaves your phone.

STAY IN CONTROL
Automatic grouping isn't always perfect, so PhotoDesk gives you real tools to fix it:
- Merge two people you know are the same
- Long-press a photo to remove it from the wrong person
- Review "possible match" suggestions and confirm or reject them
- Re-run matching anytime to improve results as you correct more photos

FIND PHOTOS FAST
- Face Search: pick a photo and find the closest matching people in your library
- Favorite the people and photos you care about most
- Browse by folder, or build your own albums — including creating an album from everyone tagged as a specific person
SEE WHERE YOUR PHOTOS WERE TAKEN
An optional map view plots geotagged photos by location.

YOUR DATA, BACKED UP YOUR WAY
Export a backup of your people, names, and albums to a folder you choose, and restore it any time — your organization isn't locked into the app.

PRIVACY BY DESIGN
No account required. No photos or face data are ever uploaded to a server. Everything runs locally on your device.

What’s new

- New monthly option next to the one-time unlock. Already have the full version? Nothing changes: it stays unlocked for good.
- Similar people now also shows who might be the same person, so you can check and merge.
- Tidier Timeline: shorter month names in the side date list.
- Small fixes, including the Tag button on a person's page.
