About this app

GloCalMom is an app targeted to families with pregnant mothers and young children in Africa.

This application teaches parents about correct nutrition and basic health care in simple ways. It features short messages with pictures from Africa coupled with checklists to find the topics that you need more education on.

The GloCal concept is based on video education and the app makes the GloCal nutrition and health videos easily accessible through download or streaming, free of charge.
The application allows for target specific education, offering you the videos specific to your needs. When you answer a few simple questions at the end of the short lessons, the application will automatically call for the relevant videos.

You can enter in your children's information and create individual profiles that make it easy to follow their growth and immunisations progress. Growth curves make it easy to follow the length and weight development of your children. An electronic vaccination card ensures that the vaccination data is not lost.

You can also track your own weight development during pregnancy in a growth curve specifically created for that purpose.
This version also includes a set of sexual health videos in English.

This version of GloCalMom is available in English and Swahili.
The videos are available in African English, French, Luganda, Jopadhola, Chewa, Yao, Amharic, Swahili and Portuguese.
