Jimbo Software really sucks . Get you head out of your Roeuck part of the Sears . Locks up my android . Sears help line passes the buck. The reason I bought this door opener was for this feature .. 6/1/14 Still needs work on software. I and I'm not trying to enroll into healthcare ! I would like the software to the work .
USED TO WORK! I have a Droid RAZR worked fine for a month now when I try to log into app it just HANGS!! Re-installed APP same issue! Annoying!
Big company name small company support Why would a global company such as Craftsman not employ a GOOD team to develop their applications? This app takes FOREVER to load, ie log in and then locate your garage door controller. I literally have to open the app a full 2 minutes before I get to where I want to open it or I may find myself sitting in front of my closed garage screaming obscenities at my phone. Please if craftsman, for $100, my opener and application had better work as described. Genie brand garage door users don't have this problem...
App works, but needs work So far, the app works. But this is coming from someone that understands technology. I wouldn't dare to put this app on the phones of my grandparents in its current state. It lags and produces the password screen when it should produce the passcode screen. The app seems to lag when the only processes occurring should be on my phone, and simple processes as far as I can see. Notifications don't seem to allow you to receive an "alert" when the door is left open for a "x" amount of time.
TRUE IDIOTS created this app! The first and only screen that pops up wants you to sign in. In order to engage this app you need to sign in. However there is no option to sign up for an account, so your SOL. Join craftsman online and still didnt work. Tried calling craftsman and some other numbers. I would of been better off asking my dog for help.
The App REALLY needs to add options for alternate notification tones/sounds. It would be REALLY NICE if the App would allow for a specific "Door Opened" and a "Door Closed" sound. Preferably different for each. It's frustrating being on the drive out of the neighborhood and you get a warning that it closed (and tempts to you take your eyes off the road to see if it was the door closing or something else that uses the default notification sound). Update - rating dropped! 1) Evidently you need to use the Web interface is you want to be sure about "events" time-stamps. All too often the phone App reflects the time when the phone/App received the event, NOT when it actually happened. The actual time needs to be sent with the event. 2) The folks at Sears say they have nothing to do with the "Craftsman Garage Door" App ("Sears Holding Group? LOL!). THIS is the definition of "the run around"! They want me to contact "Chamberlain." One has to wonder what boss at "Sears" will step up and say, "It's not ours??!! It has OUR NAME ON IT! We instruct people to use it! Just stop and tell our IT folks to arrange for getting the App made better!"
This is a client app that authenticates over wifi to an IOT garage door server.
