Doesn't work with external USB Ublox7 GPS. Says no GNSS detected. This receiver works fine with Google Earth on the same tablet in Android. The application should scan for a serial port that is spewing standard GPS NMEA data if it can't get it from location services.
Used to be 5 stars. Advertising has totally taken over. I understand the need for adverts in a "free" sw but its made the sw unusable. I cannot get out of some functions because the advertising won't allow it.
Keep it simple, stupid. Fantastic app. Whenever I'm not sure if my GPS is working or have problems with other apps related to GPS, I always rely on this app.
Well, as a test tool it failed miserably... my current Note 4 is running an alternative to the stock ROM and it is failing to get maps to update themselves when there a route to follow, so I decided to give this tool a try. It fails to tell me that there is no GPS connection or it cannot access the GPS datastream or anything else. It just sits there when I know that there is some GPS connectivity as the Google map will update its location (just won't work with a route). I also have Friends Finder that locates my people. The current GPS stream on my phone is actually slow, so the apps lag behind.... but this GPS test, it never displayed anything at all so it is useless as a *test tool* as it should have told me what was happening. If everything is ok like in the demo video, then great... but it not, then what's the point of having this if can't gather any useful insight ? I like the graphs though...
Using 1 minute of arc on the earth = 6000 ft = 1 nautical mile is best accuracy for plotting a position or scaling off an object on a map for sailing walking flying and driving. This makes 1 second of arc 100ft and does not interfere with use of statute miles or kilometers for engineering and construction. Degrees Minutes (or Miles nautical) and Seconds DMS. John.
Just running this app worked out issues on my old phone. I use this all the time
