Just installed on my phone and have been badging parks we've visited. I wish there was a way to download the badged map to get a good visual of all parks we've visited. Has crashed a couple of times.
I love it but the only problem is checking into other parks. It never seems to give you credit even if I'm physically in the park.
Back in May 2016 I said I would give this app 5 🌟s if it had the capability to delete a record of a park visit, a.k.a. a badge, that had been entered incorrectly. When I contacted the developer many months before that and asked about it I was told they plan to implement that someday. It is still not implemented in May of 2017. To me that seems like a fundamental feature that should have been in the first release, not a feature planned for the future, someday. I checked out the trip planning feature today, I am not impressed. It seems too cumbersome to me. The regions need to be clearly defined, there is no information about what states are in each region. There does not appear to be a way to plan a trip that spans two or more regions. Even when I choose all activities it does not appear to show all sites in a region. I am lowering my rating. Let me know when you have implemented the delete/edit badge feature and when you have corrected the flaws in the trip planner.
I've loved this app for a few years now, but these new Perks markers in the map are highly annoying. Is there any way to turn them off?
I wanted to use the park maps offline, there is no cellphone reception on most of the parks, but the GPS on this software is very inaccurate and shows differed areas and not where i am. The GPS was very accurate on other offline and topo maps, but not in Chimani.
Make sure you turn off background data if you don't have unlimited data. It will keep update its contents on cellular networks even it's not open.
