Latest update is a failure. (I was forced to update to version 8.38.3.) The app crashes when attempting to complete the e-deposit feature. I've reinstalled the app twice, cleared the cache bla bla bla and it still fails every time. CIBC, fix the app and /or fire the developers /QA team. This is totally unacceptable. Time to move to TD...

"Chat With Us" feature is bugged. Using latest app version. To troubleshoot I tried with WiFi and Data. Everything else in the app works fine and I've never received any error codes, app freezes or crashes. What happens is that you select Chat With Us and then stare at their loading icon (security badge with the rotating blue outline.) Every few minutes you select Yes I'm Still Here, Keep Me Signed In. If this is what the chat queue looks like, that would be asinine. I gave up after 30 minutes.

I am unable to log in due to an invalid password. It's not invalid, but I'll accept that and reset it. I cannot reset it with error 008. Customer service hung up on me once, and transferred me to the wrong department twice. Finally an agent was able to tell me my account is flagged for identification at a branch. I will cancel the card that never worked and uninstall the app that never logged in.
