Spend an hour and a half on call with CIBC customer service who were unaware of this app and had me download suretap instead. CIBC customer service says they have never heard of this app. Was on phone for over 2 hours when they indicated customer service would contact me the next day. Was bounced back and forth between banking and credit services 6 times over 2 calls with no help forthecoming. Beware this app might not be a CIBC app as customer service indicated they had no knowledge of it and had no information on it!
Must Order Special Sim :( Had wanted to hook this up with my platinum card, only to find out I'd need to BUY a special SIM from Telus. Not interested in paying extra as my phone (Samsung Note 3) has NFC built in and tied to my other credit cards. Pity as my wife and I had been hoping to use this with both our cards.
Doesn't Work on Galaxy S6 with Koodo NFC SIM Says I don't have an NFC SIM even though I do. I'm with Koodo as well have a supported device with the Galaxy S6 yet it doesn't work.
I'm happy to see mobile payment options in Canada but unfortunately this one leaves something to be desired. If you're hoping to set this app up to work with your CIBC Advantage Visa Debit card, forget it. It's not supported, yet. This app is a step forward, but a tiny one. I won't hold my breath waiting for Visa Debit support, it's still not supported on a number of web merchants yet either.
Simply Junk! My phone qualifies all the requirements, but I was asked to talked to Rogers to fix the problem!!
NFC sim not found S6 is finally supported so I got an NFC sim from TELUS and activated it. It keeps saying I need an NFC sim. I setup NFC to use se sim card and nothing. CIBC even shows up as a payment app in the phone. And don't tell me you are expanding to support more devices. I have a supported device and a supported sim and it still doesn't work.
