Useless app newer is still useless The setup is cumbersome. You have to call cibc to add your credit card to my phone. I was told to call one number and put on hold forever. After the initial hold, i was told i called the wrong department and put on hold again. It took about 30 minutes before my credit card info was sent to my phone. The same procedure is supposed to for sure tap as well. Suretapp won't add the credit card info. It was no go for Suretapp. I tried the mobile payment alone. I tried at a few retailers. none of the tap worked.
Crap Never worked for me. Was told by the customer service representative that somebody from technical support will call me. Nobody called yet. I am using Rogers galaxy s7 edge. I tried on various merchants like starbucks, Levi's, Hudson bay. Canadian tire, it never worked. Don't even install it wasting your time.
Doesn't Work For a month I tried to install and register this app, and it never worked. Several phone calls and 4 weeks later, CIBC eventually blames Telus. Except I have coworkers on Telus and have no issues with their mobile payment app (not CIBC). So if you try this app, and it doesn't work for you, just get rid of it. TD Canada here I come.
Can't get passed the loading screen I'm super stoked to get this running on my S7 Edge, but for now I'm stuck at a loading screen. I love the fact that it doesn't auto logout also! I hate having to unlock my phone twice to use RBCs app. But at least RBC is working.
After two attempts to get "the confirmation message" from CIBC sent to my phone via text , I don't feel like calling and going through the whole setup process again. If it's too difficult to have a text message sent, I have little faith that the usability and reliability of this app will work either! 2/24/16: As per your request to send an email promising a call back to resolve this issue, I thought I'd let you know that I've been waiting over a week for a call back from tech support! Support for this ap has definitely been AWOL.
Only works for credit cards This app needs to be updated to use debit cards as well as credit cards. Bank forcing you into having to use your credit card. In hopes that you'll forget to pay it off in a reasonable amount of time to continue the debt cycle.
