This is more of a review of the entire system itself. Here is my honest review of MyCircle Pros: -None. Cons: -Cuts internet speed in half -Filled with bugs that sometimes takes days to weeks to wear off. -Very high price tag. -Infests devices with adware. If I were you, I would avoid this product at all costs. Having trust in your children and teaching them about web safety is much more effective and cheap.
Our circle works great and we love it. The management app works fine on the iPhone. But the android version constantly hangs when viewing insights and limits on my pixel. It is pretty unusable so we can only manage from the iPhone.

I switched from Screentime with a data plan ti Circle with Disney without a data with home unlimited high-speed internet. As for the apps themselves, I prefer Screentime's overall since it allows precise scheduling down to the minute (which Circle allows only according to 15-minute time blocks) and more intuitive blocking of apps. I somehow managed to unblock WhatsApp in Circle but am having difficulty figuring out how to apply strict limits on Circle without it blocking Skype and Outlook and other two-way communication apps. In the Screentime App, I could do so easily by simply choosing what apps I wanted to block. Circle with Disney does allow me to schedule more daily offtimes though. Also, whereas Screentime blocks or unblocks and app as a whole, Circle can more effectively block or unblock specific sites without blocking a web browser itself. I like the hardware component of Circle though. Unlike Screentime, which applies to the phone itself, Circle applies to the home internet connection instead, which gives the kids a break when they're at a friend's home (unless they have Circle too) or at the mall. Since they have no data plan, we don't worry about occasional unmanaged Wi-Fi access and Circle allows me to better control all home-connected devices at once. If Circle could combine the Circle hardware with Screentime Lab's software, we'd have a significantly improved package. Add the Circle app's ability to schedule multiple daily offtimes, and it would be even better. On the hardware side, I'm not even aware of an alternative to Circle. Looking at the hardware and the app as a package, I'd say it's a tie between Circle and Screentime, the former being better with home Wi-Fi, the latter with a data plan.

Bought Circle to restrict kids' web use. Initially I could not complete the setup process. After a reboot I was able to complete but the device kept shutting down with the provided AC adapter. I connected it to my USB hub and that kept it powered up but the Android app kept losing connection. I will be returning this device.

Quick update. The app still works as advertised however the device no longer works to accomplish anything other than drastically slow down your network. The kids hate this little gem, that should tell you that it does what it is supposed to do. A few reviewers have had suggestions for the devices improvement. I agree with most of the advices - however I would like to also suggest that devices that can not be monitored/controlled be placed into a cartagory instead of having to do trial and error.

My box is just collecting dust and I am back to pulling the router plug when I don't want to give the kids access to the internet.

Circle Support We just received our Circle and we were excited about setting it up. It will not sync to my wifi network and I can not set the darn system up. The only way to contact the company is through email which is very frustrating. They say the circle is easy to set up and it should only take 5 minutes!!! Well, I am working on one and a half hours and I still cannot get the thing working. I am expecting to hear from the company in about a day or so, which is typical with email support, when I will not have time to work on this. So far, very disappointed and frustrated. It still baffles my mind that companies do not know what "customer service" or true "customer support" really is. If I ran my business by referring customers to an email address when they are having an issue, I would loose my company and would be on the streets looking for a job. Not impressed!!!
Why? Why would someone need this... The appeal for parents, which should be none existent, is only showing distrust in their kids. We will always have access to WiFi and Tak mg it away now will not help us... Please, any parent who reads this, don't buy it. Your kids will turn on you sooooo fast and a relationship could be lost...

This is the perfect app to piss your kids/parents off. It messes up all your WiFi and internet.

It was slow before but now I get a lot of "waiting for circle". I have to close the app and reopen to get to another profile's insights. I have rebooted circle several times with no luck. App would be great without the serious lag.

Want some help? Email help@meetcircle.com Absolutely horrible. I bought one today and set it up. My son could not connect to google drive to do his honework so I had to remove his device. Then my wifi printer would not print. I disconnected the Circle device and uninstalled the app and now my wifi will not work. Totally regret this purchase and will be returning it to Best Buy first thing in the morning.

Call 1-855-498-7879 or email help@meetcircle.com. Best monitoring system out there. I actually use this for myself #phoneaddict It helps me use my time wisely. I would have give 5 stars, but it has been a little glitchy with instagram. Otherwise, it works perfectly.
Useless. I can get as far as connecting to the Circle, but beyond that it doesn't see my network, and the app freezes up altogether if I enter it manually. Sending it back. Very disappointing.

It takes almost a minute each time to access the Circle app. It's slow to respond and frustrating to have to wait all of the time. Once you're in, the features are good. I like I can control time and access by user. I wish it was easier to identify devices though. Most of the names in the list of devices are unrecognizable.

Ha lol so easy to bypass... just use a VPN, spoof mac address as circle/ white listed device or just use hotspot, mobile data or neighbors nwtwork... can't imagine why people would waste money on this. Also the admin phone is a major weekpoint...

P.S. What's a weekpoint? Absolutely outstanding. Simplicity itself to set up, clean dashboard easy to use. Would like to see a bit more granularity in its reporting, bit over all very well done.
Finally a device that protects all devices on the entire home network in just a few minutes. By far the best family protection out of the dozen others I have tried over the past 6 months. Very well designed and very hard for teens to circumvent by far the most secure out of all solutions I've tried. Could use some improvements in reporting by category for filtered sites but I assume that will come soon enough as an update
Slow slow slow slow app. Can't setup via Android, only iPhone. Support hours are terrible. The device works but smart kids can get around it by spoofing.

Called the support line, great english speaking girl tried to help me out, but no dice. Now i am waiting for someone (hopefully an English speaker as nice as the first ) to email me a set of instructions. Totally disappointed. I think I will have it back in the box in the morning and on the way back to amazon.
