Good app for remote router admin Have two WRT1900AC routers. App is great for remote monitoring and admin of both. Both routers appear on home screen, though once a specific router is accessed, means of return to home screen to access other router not particularly intuitive. Otherwise, easy to use; good GUI; can access most all router settings, including restart.
Using Velop and this app. The Google WiFi app is much, much better. Doesn't work right and doesn't follow Android design guidelines. I've only been using it for a couple days and I've encountered more bugs than all the rest of the apps I use on my phone combined. The most annoying one by far is the app not reporting the device connections properly, it claims my girlfriend's Chromebook and Kindle are connected by Ethernet. And this app is frustrating to use thanks to "features" like disabling predictive text and autocorrect across the whole app and no swipe to open the menu.
Remote Access When I'm not home, it won't always connect through my app on my phone remotely. It tells me my router isn't connected to the internet, and it is. It is very frustrating.
Horrible App Why do I have to be forced to used this app to set up a router. Come on Linksys. Even if I am forced give me access to true advanced features like I normally can. And for the love of all please enable some form of two factor have an outside audit published of your service. If I have to be forced to use a subpar app let me know my home can't be hacked remotely.
Too much missing Stupid router web interface only works with some browsers, but app doesn't support many features, e.g. connected storage or OpenVPN. Going to switch to OpenWRT. Nice hardware, too bad it's saddled with dumb UI decisions.
Horrible app with velop App shows devices not connected to network. Says devices are connected via ethernet that are connected via WiFi and vice versa
Adds support for Velop, a modular system of tri-band connection points that provide seamless, full-strength Wi-Fi for the whole family.
