Since updating to nougat at my MotoG Play (harpia), I too have an persistent notification, both on top left corner and on the lock screen about Jabber status. I tried to turn it off in settings, but nothing has changed. I have other IM apps running on same phone, all behaving nicely and popping notifications ONLY when incoming messages or calls. The Jabber is the only app holding the persistent notification without option to remove. Otherwise, just a ordinary voip/video client, nothing extraordinary to it.
Since upgrade to nougat os I have a persistent notification from jabber that says connecting despite the fact that it's connected already. Uninstall and reinstall didn't fix it. If I didn't use it for work I'd toss the app.
I use it for international calling mainly. The biggest disadvantage is if I use my Bluetooth headsets, I cannot multitask, the moment i switch to other app it disconnects the call.
always disconnects and never reconnects again. Once reconnected phone servixes doesnt work. Phone shows that Instant messaging is on but never sends out messages.
Phone functions did't work with my nexus 6p. Now also dos't work with my New pixel 2. I know its not my account because it works fine with same account on an iphone.
Mic turns off randomly, as if muted, and there is no way to turn it back on. Essentially unusable.
