Great non-intrusive weather app Let's face it: we don't want a weather app that draws too much attention to itself. Checking the weather isn't an experience; it's a chore. We need to do it, and we want to do it quickly, and then forget about the app that helped us do it. To that end, we want a weather app that doesn't ask for attention and doesn't take bring your phone to a grind. That's exactly what this app delivers. I am mostly unaware of it's existence on my phone. I use the app's notification feature to display the weather on the status bar, so I don't even need to "check" the weather. It's just there. It changes based on my location, and it automatically updates itself without draining my battery. I haven't had to launch the app apart from the first time to configure it. And that's impressive!
Pretty much perfect This is the best weather app I have ever used. The widgets can be made beautiful for any theme very easily. I would buy pro if it was open sourced. But I suppose if that happened the dev would loose money overall so I understand why its not. Maybe I am the only person from Colorado with no accuracy issues.
Great looks, meh weather The app and its widget are great! Works smoothly and looks nice. I love that the widget has many features for customizing! These reasons have kept me using it even tho the weather for my location is only approximate. However, for the second time this winter it is very wrong. To say only 40% chance of snow, just hours before a major storm hits, is a problem. Time to find an app with a better weather source!
Looks great Looks great and battery use seems fine. Easy set up. Sometimes the weather conditions don't update correctly or it will show it sunny at midnight (it seems better now)..but I noticed on the Noaa site, they were wrong, too, so it may be a source of the info error rather than the app. The temp seems accurate mostly. EDIT 7/25. stuck 2 days behind...no refresh
Look no further After a well known weather service ruined their app I went looking for a replacement: none were satisfactory, even paid versions. Then I found Eye in Sky. Excellent location accuracy, quick to load, great icon sets, fine grained customization. Even has sunrise /sunset data! I'm sticking with it, and I think you'll be happy, too. Great work, dev!
Lovely interface, but... The interface is ALMOST as good as that of the best iOS counterparts, however, since indispensable features are missing. For instance, what does Wind W20kmh mean - Wind FROM west, or blowing IN THE DIRECTION of the West? Why not denote the wind by an arrow instead of an abbreviation? They're are more missing features, but this one I'd say is the most noteworthy one, particularly for cyclists.
1) Fixed crash
2) Expandable notification is optional (applies to Jelly Bean and above only)
3) Hex color picker tweaked.
