Perfectly usable app Not sure why everyone is so upset by the app, I've used the various version updates since my overseas trip in 2010 and it's always been fine. Granted it's not the best designed app, some things aren't that intuitive but all the basic functions are there and does what I need. Make sure you have a local SIM with internet so you can manage bank transfers with while your overseas, makes planning money withdrawals much easier.
I only have this app to generate a one-time pin when I need one. With the latest update I can't generate an OTP as the app says that the OTP is registered for another user ID (and I only have one user ID). Citi have had issues with OTP for years and still they haven't got it right when so many other banks have implemented it with no issues for end-users.
Good overall. The app has improved a lot. I think the only thing that is missing is paywave using NFC on your phone. If you can add that feature it would be amazing. Thanks.
UPDATED - HOORAY - AT LAST IT'S FIXED The one thing i have learned today is it appears only to be a problem for Android. I used an iphone and there was no problem. this app needs work. Fast! The latest update will not allow scrolling and seems frozen. I am unable to view anything on my account.
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH CITIBANK?? This is the worst Banking App on the market... STILL. I gave this app 1 star only because 0 stars is not possible! Citibank's transaction account is fantastic for frequent international travellers, but it's online services (internet site and mobile banking) and it's Call Centre are UTTERLY ATROCIOUS. The inability to opt out of OTP and OAP causes considerable frustration when in countries without mobile roaming agreements with one''s local phone company, and now Version 13.0.0 of the CItibank App, which, for some very strange reason, needs to be manually updated. DOES NOT WORK AT ALL on my device, blaming a "slow wifi connection". I have very fast, very reliable wifi - the app is just another CItibank lemon. Version 12.0.0 worked 15 minutes ago (before I updated), plus my NAB, CBA, Bankvic, and Co-Op Bank UK apps all work. As I can't go back to Version 12.0.0, I now have no mobile banking capacity, and I cannot access the infuriating OTP to use internet banking on my PC. I would advise everyone NOT TO DOWNLOAD this app. Citibank - you're the 3rd biggest bank in THE WORLD and a top-20 company in the world - A MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT IS NEEDED!
First time using your service App has been 'in maintenance' since last Thursday when I downloaded it. It's now Sunday night, and sometime soon I will need to check whether my simple transaction was successful. Difficult to do when it's under construction. What if I were overseas and needed immediate access? I'd be in a lot of trouble.
