Improving July 20, 2015 update is better than it has been with improved icon readability. But, my issue/bug from over a year ago still stands: When quitting this app and then re-opening it the app no longer works and can't find your location by tapping on the map crosshair icon. The blue location dot is there, but the map won't zoom into it. Only by killing it manually is it usable again. I installed a task killer solely because of this app. NYC Bike is still a better app.
Overall the system has gotten slightly better and the app reflects this. The station statuses are much more accurate. As many other people have mentioned, FIX THE BACK BUTTON BEHAVIOR! Also, the favorites screen doesn't load right away and most of the time my favorite stations are not displayed there.
FIX THE BACK BUTTON BEHAVIOR! Let me break it to you: This is not an iOS app. It should be made for phones with a very useful hardware BACK button. Which is NOT an "EXIT app" button! It's supposed to take user BACK to the previous screen, no matter what it was. What you have here is a poorly designed iOS app clone that completely breaks Android navigation paradigms.
Back button is broken! Did anyone even try this app before pushing an upgrade?
Convenient! Easy to use and makes it simple to find the info you need. The "search nearby" feature works very well.
Nothing is good with this update. The station icon is hard to read. The history and trip confirmation is gone. You won't be able to stop an over time charge unless you see it on your bill. Gave it one star because you can't give it no stars
