I bought the communications kit for my Carrier Splits. I was skeptical because the links for the USB dongles didn't work. I'm not sure why everyone is complaining. This app works perfectly. All functions are accessible in the app, and I can see the status of both at the same time. Very happy with the addition!

This is a very disappointing app. This is the only way to control our new split system. It is supposed to do “everything a thermostat does”. It does not. The “schedule” function does not work. You cannot have a different setpoint for heat and cooling. If you want to cool to 78 - it is also heats to 78. There are no instructions, no help menu - and no way to contact anyone for help The contractors' solution is to add a thermostat - for another $1,000…

App no longer works after OS update this month. Uninstall and reinstall don't work. Paid extra for the wifi module when the unit was install just a year ago. Before the update the app was OK, but crashed intermittently. It seems as though Carrier was looking for an app to sell but didn't want to support it. Update: Carrier custom support was actually good. You can use the Bryant Air or Midea Air apps instead. Use the same username and password. It already had my connected unit on the new app.
