Best app ive found Its the best remote app Ive found, set up within less than 60 seconds, easy to use, and works great.... only downfall are that it works thru having ur tv and phone on the same wifi and I like my phone on my actual phone network since I have soooo many devices already on the wifi. Works just as good as the motion wii style remote that came with my tv though.
Acer Iconia B1 Unfortunately this does not work with my 2012 LG 42LM620S but the original LG TV Remote does. Another issue to watch out for is to make sure that you have a proper wireless network setup and your TV is connected to the network via WiFi and if your TV isn't equipped, buy the LG WiFi dongle. You can pick up one on Amazon or Ebay at a reasonable price. The final connection option is via network cable if you have wired capability. So answer is if it doesn't work, try all versions. I am going to state the obvious rule of thumb, no, RJ45 LAN socket (required to be connected to your wireless hub directly or by network), no WiFi, not compatible with the LG dongle and no USB it won't work at all.
Works perfectly! I have an LV5400 and it works great. My Magicmote stopped working and of course was out of warranty. This app is great for surfing the TV apps. If you have problems pairing the remote with a wired connection and dynamic ip try this: go into setup then network, network settings and run the setup again. If successful the TV should displau the ip config info then you should be able to pair.
Works perfectly fine on my tv. The only thing is that there is no power button so minus one star. It's so much easier to control with a mouse on the app than it is using the remote. For some reason when you search for something there is a lag after you enter every key but with the app there is no lag!
App works but one Caveat Honestly this works quite well and is very useful, however one issue with it regards my TV itself. It seems as if you need to conduct a network test before attempting to connect with the phone application. Scanning before doing so yields no results, but scanning after a network test has the application successfully connecting to the phone.
Improved with last update The last update has fixed the issue of the app always forgetting my TV! So thank you for that! I'm glad to see that LG is still working on this app. There is still a crash bug on my S3 when the app is started before the TV is turned on... That really shouldn't happen. Hence still just 3 stars
