Cloud Magic... i miss you.
Was once an awesome email client. No longer the case. After the switch from CloudMagic to Newton and the preposterous $49.99 annual subscription, and emails are no longer being pushed or notified, it was time to remove this app from my device and look elsewhere. In terms of design and usage, I found this app to be the best. It's beautiful to the eyes, straightforward and pleasant to use. But being marred by the outrageous annual fee and lack of basic service, this app deserves the two stars for the minimal design.
Used to be good. Now they have removed automatic checking of email and the manual checking of sketchy. They want $50/yr to use the app, which of laughable. As a side note, all of your emails are stored on their server and sent to your app, so they have access to and can review all your emails. This is not a good app. And at $50 a year, you would be insane to use it.
Loved Cloud Magic, used it for years. When they went subscription, I didn't even mind the loss of push notifications. But since 3/14, I haven't been able to manually update either, which is enough for me to walk away. I agree I would've paid a one-time purchase, but not subscription, and now it's too late. I've found a competitor with more customization.
Remove the banner I am not paying 50 usd for features I will never use. Showing an annoying banner in my face won't help. You guys are develops, hire a marketing specialist who tells you how to treat users. I am willing to pay 2-3 usd annually to support you, but you don't offer such an option.
